    Nope I'm afraid not, I'm unsure if they come out if there aren't any ground troops - I know that melee troops don't come out if there's only air troops attacking since the recent update.

    Goblins or WBs make me weep, But thank goodness my clan knows better haha.

    Goblins, wall breakers, and giants are the only troops that really make me unhappy. I don't mind unconventional donations provided they are leveled troops. I lean towards thinking that archers or wizards are probably the best donations, but most donations have strengths as others have pointed out.

    Giants

    Giants suck on defense. Poor strength, slow attack speed, and 15 level 4 Archers can take out 4 level 4 Giants.

    They have higher DPS than both barbs and archers, and higher hit points than archers.

    having a faster speed just means he will run to his death quicker. sure the goblins damage is higher than the archer and barbarian but his hitpoints is his disadvantage, 2 or 3 archers should kill one easy.

    goblins are underrated as a CC defense. A swarm of them is quite effective.

    I have not tried high level WBs, i know at lower levels (3-4) they don't deal enough to kill with one shot. If they did then a few suicide troops would be good. I always thought balloons had potential. My problem with archers is when you attack the range seems great, but when you use them for defense, they hop over the walls and get in close which kills them faster.

    The archers are really annoying. I like it when they attack over walls, but I think sometimes they focus on troops in the middle of the pack, not the closest.

    CC troops are attacked one at a time so they both die at the same rate regardless.
