Looking to 3* this base

I am a th8 looking to 3* this base in war. I think it would take a bit of luck to 3* with my lvl 3 drags/lvl 5 rage. My hogs are lvl 3, pekka lvl 2, golems still 1. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If I were you I would bring 10 lvl 3 drags and 3 lightning spells if they are lvl 4 or higher. If your spells are not level 4 this will not work. Also, have Balloons in your clan castle.

First: Drop 3 Lightning spells on top air defense.
2nd: Spread dragons across bottom of the base.
3rd: Once your dragons are being shot at by the bottom air defenses drop your cc loons in the area of one of the air defenses. It doesn't matter which one.
4th: From there you should be good, if needed drop barbarian king.

Thanks for the advice, I know if I mass drag I can get 2, 3 if I am lucky. Anyone think I would be better off with a gowipe or combo on this base?

I think Dragloon or balloonion would work.

Yes I do. Gowiwipe would wreck this base if you know how to use the strategy. 2 Golems 3 Pekka 2 Witches in your CC. 2 Rage 1 Heal. Don't bother baiting out CC, just Rage and Heal when they engage. Th8 defenses can't get down on a level 1 Golem, the base damage doesn't have enough sustain like an Xbow does, or Inferno at Th10, so it'll come down to pathing. GL in your choice.
