Heroes should be usable in 30 minutes (able to send out half healed heroes)
as we level our heroes we end up taking a massive disadvantage in recovery time and to me its not worth leveling heroes beyond level 5 if you are a heavy farmer, its fine for those that only farm once or twice per a day as recovery time wont be a major issue.
so my suggestion is able to use heroes in 30 minutes and the amount of HP they have will based on the amount of waiting time and the level of your hero. for example a level 16 hero (1hr for full recovery) will only have half hp if you only give it 30 minutes of recovery time.

I like this idea. Maybe at least 75% for them to be active again. Gemming my heroes right now is great but once that 1 gem boost goes using heroes is almost forgotten. Heroes are awesome but I agree, the incentive to upgrade them is reduced by the reduction in the time we can actually utilise them. Why have a maxed hero you can hardly ever use.
