Bombs, the small insignificant ones that do nothing....

I really think these little bombs, even when upgraded to level 5 (town hall 8 level) are an absolute waste of time and need to be looked at by the economists at supercell.

A level 5 bomb will have cost 1 111 400 gold and has 34 damage points in a 3 tile diameter. That's not even enough to take out a level 2/3 barbarian. What's more, I've used these bombs to spoil wallbreaker attacks - but the bomb explodes at the same time as the wallbreakers bomb and the wall still gets destroyed.

I would say the bomb needs a good makeover, possibly increase their damage to specific troops like the golem, and should be capable of at least denting the level 1 golem by 10% per bomb - that means if all 6 (at th8) are triggered, a golem would lose 60% health which certainly will even the defensive balance against the golem/wizard golem/pekka golem/wizard/witch strategies. As many a th8 will attest, there's nothing you can do to prevent getting 3 starred by a gowiwi attack of a th9 - even if poorly executed. Not that I mind, but give th8s a fighting chance!

    What do you guys think?

The small bombs are fine. Multiple ones together pack a nice punch, plus they have a knock back effect.

Suggesting that they should do hundreds of damage against golems is insane. Complaining that you cannot defend against a TH higher than you using the best troops is also ridiculous. What do you expect? Someone a th higher than you using the best troops should destroy you.

You are going to get them (especially if they are able to bang up a golem some) to the point where a guy can lay all kinds of hog traps around. As it is right now you need 2 GB to do a good hog trap so you can only set 2. Where you put them is good strategy as is avoiding them for the attacker so hog raids are still a good contest. Making it so you can put them all over would pretty much end that.

Maybe a little push up would not be bad, but also we should not look for them to be troop enders. They strip off some health and make things that were 2 shots to kill into one shot.

Put all your bombs together and you got a nuclear bomb.
