Are you tired of inactive and unorganized clans? Do you like wars? Are you looking for a fun, low-pressure stimulating environment to learn to get better at war? Then aid us in our war mongering! TH3 D3DICAT3D was formed 4 months ago and consists of a core group of Dutch and/or Canadian people who are family and/or friends IRL. Ofcourse we have also met new friends ingame. We are looking for new players who share the same attitude towards the game as we do. While we are not hyper-competitive, we do like to wage war and win! Hence the 23 wins but just 5 losses, despite the more casual approach to the game of most members. Every clan member speaks English, but don't be surprised if at times, you see some Dutch gibberish in the chatroom!
In wars, we currently (Dec 26th 2014) have mostly Town Hall 7 players, some lower level bases and soon a true TH8. We are currently looking for more TH6 and TH7 players to aid in war. TH8+ may apply under certain conditions (read on).
Our most basic requirements to join are:
- You're active (think: 20+ attacks & 500+ donations per season)
- You want to grow and improve
- You're Town Hall 6 or 7*
- You have (near-)maxed walls for your Town Hall level
- You prioritize upgrading army camps and air defenses
- You are willing to change and/or improve your (war) base
*In addition to all of the above, Town Hall 8+ players are welcome to join on the following extra conditions
- You donate the lion's share to the war bases as you likely have the strongest troops
- You donate the lion's share of reinforcement troops for clan war attacks for the same reason
- You fill war requests fast: as fast as the most active players would do if they had access to your troops
We will give any (significantly) higher level player a chance to show that he or she can take on the responsibility that comes with the territory. If you do not or can not keep up with filling war requests, you are more than welcome to stay but you will unfortunately be excluded from war to prevent sub-optimal wars and unhappiness from members whose requests are left open (too long).
Clan Wars
To be able to participate in war your base and troop levels must be good/balanced enough to ensure the fairest possible war match. This means (preferably) a non-rushed base, upgraded troops, upgraded spells and high level walls. Some of our players have rushed their base somewhat, but are well on their way towards balancing it out. In other words, don't be discouraged as to a certain degree a rushed base can be accepted for war. You will need to follow our guidelines to balancing it out to stay in them though! Your base and troop levels will be judged by the leaders and selected on an individual basis everytime we search for a new war opponent.
If you do not want to participate in war or you're (advised to keep) working on balancing your base, you're still welcome to join us and have a good time! We're a friendly bunch of people who like to donate and give out advice to improve your attacks and balance your base. Until Supercell implements a war opt-in/out option, there unfortunately is no other way to select players for war but to kick non-participating players right before a new war search. No worries however, whether you do not want to participate or you're balancing your base you will be invited back in right away! Anyone who shares our attitude is welcome to stay, grow and learn until your base and troops are good enough to participate.
In short: the most active and balanced players are selected for war. Other will be booted but instantly re-invited when war search starts. Not everyone can participate in war, but anyone is welcome to stay.
This brings us to the rest of our war rules and guidelines:
Attacking twice is NOT mandatory
-We are usually organized and skilled enough to ensure a victory, even without full participation. While we do expect you to attack twice and most of us usually do, you will only be held accountable (and booted!) for not attacking (twice) in case your lack of participation caused a loss. In other words, we are not hostile when you do not fully participate, but we expect you to understand what's at stake for your clan mates and act accordingly when needed and notified.
Sub-par performance in war will NOT get you booted
- If you screw up, don't worry, it happens to the best of us. We value participation and activity over performance every time. Three-starring opponents is a plus, not a requirement. This is a game, not a job or exam. Seek advice, learn from your mistakes, improve and do better next time when you did not do good. However, if you consistently do bad and, do not take advice and generally show no growth you can be excluded from war indefinitely
Attacking an equal opponent is compulsory
- War stars win the war and therefore you are encouraged to attack an opponent on your troop/base and personal skill level to get as many stars as possible.. Any player who attacks way above or below their troop/base/skill level for easy loot and/or war stars before an OK of a clan leader can be excluded from war indefinitely. If you're not sure who to attack, ask a clan leader. If you're not sure how to attack, ask and many will be happy to help you plan an attack
Membership, Ranks & Donations
As of December 26th 2014, we have 17 members. We have 1 leader and 3 co-leaders for a total of 4. This is more than enough to manage the clan and therefore will not be looking for co-leaders for the time being. While we currently have no Elders we will give out this rank henceforth to mature, well-mannered players who show good judgement and consistently contribute to the clan by high donations and upholding a friendly atmosphere.
We are loose and silly in general chat at times but frown upon over-use of profanity, swear words and general immaturity. Goof off whenever you like, but treat others with respect unless you would like to get acquainted with the banhammer.
