I'm sure you understand that we refer to how SC spells the word. The right way, as concerns CoC, is the way SC decided to spell the word they invented.

That being said, the OP is correct in that it seems no one can spell it correctly.

Yeah, it makes me so angry when people use simple words wrong.
Most commonly I see these words used the wrong way:
- "your" and "you're"
- "their" and "there"
- "than" and "then"
- "to" and "too"
- " -s " and " -'s "

The word Elixir originated from the Arabic word(s) "al iksir" back in 1350-1400 and it meant alchemical preparation.
Sooo, it's definitely supposed to be pronounced Elixir not Elixer haha

This doesn't bother me at all tho, when you read it fast they look the same xD
