I always hate losing my shield when searching for a base to raid, is it possible that you keep your shield until you place down your first troop? In my clan, I am not the only one that thinks so

lol, I've been there too. I was TH sniping to push a TH5 account to Crystal league for the trophies (so I could get my 4th builder before going to TH6). Sometimes, I would break a shield to try to find a TH to snipe, but would be hitting Next for 20-30 minutes. Bad time of day I guess. Sometimes I could get 100+ trophies an hour by TH sniping, and sometimes I'd be lucky to get 20 in an hour... It was never really consistent. Anyway, frustrating to lose your shield, then not get anything in return, and risk losing a minimum of 4, but more likely 10-25 trophies.

I think this is more an issue for people that are very picky about what they will attack (for a variety of reasons: waiting for high loot, TH to snipe, a particular resource like gold or DE, etc.). In that sense, it's not a big priority to the game overall. But yes, it would help in those special circumstances...
