connection lost -> you're under attack! (revenge)

Has this happened to anyone else?
I was busy looking for a raid for more than 10 mins (next, next, next zzz).
Then all of a sudden I got "connection lost" and I tapped 'reload' immediately.
Within 3 secs I was back in the game, however I had the "you're under attack" screen.
I was revenged by someone, I find it very hard to believe that this was a stroke of luck that he tried during the 3 seconds I was offline.
Could his attempts to revenge me cause the server to kick my connection?
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this before, this is a first for me.

You were disconnected before the game brought up the connection lost message, so you were disconnected for minutes not 3 seconds.

I was actively searching for a raid, so there was no way I was disconnected for very long, as it had just loaded a village for me to look at....

While i feel your pain, i have also been the beneficiary of such an attack. When I have a village on my revenge list that is online but too good to pass up, I will often hit the revenge button repeatedly for a while, in hopes that the village accidentally logs off because they are not paying attention...or something like you have described happens.
I am sure that I am not the only one, haha. It is unfortunate, but it is also called revenge for a reason.

Similar things have happened to me too, and right before I have saved enough for an upgrade, ouch!

The person that revenged me was from over 1 day ago, and they only took down my Town Hall.
I don't care for trophies, so I don't really care that I was revenged.
It just seems that the person revenging me may have some how caused my connection to be lost.
I would very very rarely get a connection lost message, what I usually get is "server out of sync"

OP I think it's just co-incidence but if you see it happening a lot let us know

There are multiple posts about this in the "Bugs" forums.
I've had the exact same thing happen to me multiple times except the last couple of times the message was that I had already been raided, not being raided. I still don't understand how the game can be giving me matches and be off-line at the same time. It doesn't make any sense. This issue is making me nervous every time I play the game.

It said estimated time was about 3 minutes, so looks like it only just started the attack.
There have been times when I know I have no internet connection and it takes several minutes to tell me about it, however it's not the case with this problem, as I was actively searching for a raid and clicking "next" every 3 secs.
My guess is it's just another server glitch, like the "server out of sync" problems.
Given that I raid about 8-12hrs a day and this is the only time it's happened, I guess it's not that common.
