TH8 War Base, thoughts?

Casadeez although those troops were the same as town hall 8 farming troops (I personally didn't use them especially pekkas) the giants being level 6 is a major upgrade, and make for an unexpected attack when dragons and hogs rule town hall 8 attacks. The reason it worked is their massive hp and the fact that the walls are open so the giants could move through without stopping often. If for some reason that kind of a raid is common in wars for you, I recommend a base with more sections fully contained by walls.

After those attacks on this base in clan wars, I've been itching to take my TH to the next level to get maxed troops. I wish I could rercord on screen, and post them, the giants are very much so beefcakes at level 6. All of the troops seem to be. Yet, ♥♥ far as PEKKA and farming go, I must have forgotten about her at the time I responded (i dont farm with pekka), but more-so it was the giants, barbs, archers, maybe wizzy too for some... those were who I had been speaking of. The base held up relatively well against th8 troops. 9/10 if I'm attacked at all, it would be mass dragon. For some reason, be it strength, either def or offense my clans last dozen wars have been tough, hard fought battles through and through. I personally am glad for this, as its brought us back to reality that we need to constantly evolve, learn, teach, etc etc in order to compete on an elite level. Some of the clan, was so distraught about the streak being broke, they kinda just slumped it which worsened the losing... anyway not to change directions, the pekka def not a farming troops for me. I had read and agreed with the other recommendations, but did not implement them as I wanted to test the base as it was. I slowly made slight tweaks to it, but nothing significant. I still have it as a saved base for war, but went back to a different style thats done really well for me. In fact, here is ♥♥ from today. Holds up gewd vs drags.

I was one star attacked, with 20 archers, and 9level 3 dragons, lightning level 5 x3 BK level 6. Thought that was pretty good.

sorry, kinda forgot about this thread. thanks everyone who has tried it out and offered comments and tweaks. I really wish ida came up with this one sooner and been able to test and tweak it myself and its encouraging to see some of the results. feel free to post up any tweaked versions of this base which feature some of the things we've been discussing so I can get an up-to-date "best" version of it. the double gbs definitely need adjusted as the tesla pulls hogs out of the intended path...

This may be the best you can get at TH8, it's got the mechanics to defend against Hogs and Dragons. Will use this base! Thanks for sharing this great design! Keep up the good work mate!

this is a good base, but not good if your enemy attack with full dragon..

Finally bringing this one back. Got my mini account up to th8 and now will get to properly test this base, will post updated pics soon and also a variation using suggestions from this thread. Feedback appreciated if you do try this one out.
