Ruled out ideas...?

So I just spent some time reading the topic: "Ruled out ideas will now be deleted" and after reading through the entire thing I must say this, if the mods were sticking to that and doing it 3/4 of these posts would be deleted but someone is dropping the ball severely. All this does is weaken the structure of the rules. Deleting or at least "closing" or locking threads of ruled out ideas would also greatly help in multiple posts of the same/similar idea(s) because people wouldn't have to search through pages on pages of previous threads to see if their idea jas already been brought up. I know myself if i get to page 3 or 4 and haven't seen the idea I was about to suggest I will not look at hundreds of pages and just post it taking a chance or letting someone else waste an entire day of their time to look through them all and inform me i have duplicated an idea.

Agreed. Plus the a lot of guys run the search but the result was not found because of even the slightest wording difference.

Mods do have lives outside this forum- also they are so many its hard to delete every single one of them.

Guess maybe they need more mods then... Like any job if the work load is to much you get more help... Having rules that dont get followed through on makes having rules pointless to begin with if there not enforced
