    AI during clan wars....

    So attacked a base with loons while farming 3 starred with ease. Saw the same base this clan war and was like do the same thing easy! Cleared cc, attacked the same way. Loons avoided the core like the plague! Got to the core and made a uturn...

    This base was almost 100% identical to the base while farming. When loons didn't turn and any straight. This happen to anyone else ?

    Not really 100% on what you are trying to say there. It's not like the usual complaint that your troops chased skeletons across half the map as they are balloons... so the target pathing for closest defensive structure screwed over whatever you thought would happen?

    Not in war, but during regular gameplay. ... I just presumed that any minor differences add up. Eg, it's unlikely you can attack in exactly the same way, as even droping troops a minor amount differently could change their pathing, plus any slight difference in base layout can cause different pathinge (eg hero placement, traps, etc).. afterall, that's why I tweak my base when I see replays that show up the same weakness over and again... I doubt it's different AI between war and regular play that causes this.

    There is a troops "randomizer" that basically makes troops behave in predictably unpredictable ways. It is the reason why the AQ shoots at walls when she can go through a gap or shoot a target with her range. It's part of SC's "Balancing".

    I think troop AI in general has been going downhill for a while now. Slowly the strategy of game play is becoming more luck based rather than skill. The randomness of play is fun up until a point, but imo super cell has exceeded that and it is just dumb. Using a similar attack against a similar village should get similar results... common sense, and I believe that is the way it should be.

    small but unusual deviations from normal troop behaviour

    I was wondering whether the AI on some of my farming troops had been tweaked slightly after the update.

    I feel like I know these troops pretty well, but they seem to be finding new ways to surprise me with their behaviour.

    Glad I'm not the only one wondering.

    Had my cc balloons act in a very strange way last war too. Exposed air def was in the same compartment as a cannon. Balloons needed to take down cannon then turn right to air def that was touching edge of cannon. Nope. They jumped a wall and headed to an archer tower. idk. Just have to shake your head at these things.

    Well without replays all we have is some random guy who claims he attacked in the same way on an almost identical base. I'd rather trust the game personally.
