To review the economy you have to consider two basic principles; supply & demand.
And I will be primarily focusing on farmers, from TH7 to TH10 as they put the heaviest demand on the economy.
First, GOLD.
Finding gold storages worth raiding is often not that difficult, because even the best farmers are often stranded with gold waiting in their storages until their next builder frees up. This is good for the economy, even with their hardcore demand they are forced to supply back some to the economy.
There is always an exception with players purely farming for walls, but they typically do not outweigh players saving for expensive upgrades sitting with gold in their storages. Wall farming demand increases as our hall increases; but as per below their gold supply via gold mines also increase as their hall increases.
Now all players TH8 and higher can unlock lv 12 gold mines, if they do so add a very generous 3,500 gold per hour; per pump into the game.
TH10 players also unlock a further gold mine, adding even more supply to the game.
Summary, all halls TH7 to TH10 are contributing relatively equal gold supply in the game.
Secondly, ELIXIR.
There was once a time when no player could build walls with elixir, this provided some serious elixir supply to the game. But many clashers, and SuperCell also finally relented that elixir supply far outweighed the demand.
Unfortunately, they swung the pendulum too far in the opposite direction. Allowing walls as cheap as 200,000 to be built by elixir. So players from TH7 to TH10 were all equally drawing elixir fast out of economy.
Elixir walls are a far greater issue than gold walls because of the facts many TH7 & TH8 are pointing out today. There are far more upgrades with gold as opposed to elixir in the game.
But this is in fact the problem, because of this; players are rarely forced to sit on elixir worth raiding. So far more than gold ever did it is been removed from the economy on walls.
Now, a recent update blocks the option out to walls costing 1,000,000. Meaning it is impossible for TH7 & TH8 to access it. And also restricts many TH9 & TH10 players. Players with lego walls or higher is uncommon in proportion to the global clashing community.
Now all players TH8 and higher can unlock lv 12 elixir collectors, if they do so add a very generous 3,500 gold per hour; per pump into the game.
TH10 players also unlock a further elixir collector, adding even more supply to the game.
Summary halls TH7 & TH8 are supplying high amounts of elixir to the game, TH9 & TH10 are supplying only moderate amounts of elixir to the game.
Finally, Dark Elixir
Those who farm for Dark Elixir will know that finding dark elixir storages worth raiding is not uncommon - but typically fuller storages come with greater difficulty.
But more importantly to that, is Dark Elixir drills. The drills especially are providing the dark elixir to the game.
Facts.
TH7 offer a maximum of 45 DE per hour into the game.
TH8 offer a maximum of 90 DE per hour into the game.
TH9 offer a maximum of 200 DE per hour into the game.
TH10 offer a maximum of 300 DE per hour into the game.
Dark Elixir drills also operate differently to gold mines & elixir collectors. Offering a whopping 75% of their contents for raid. In just 12 hours of inactivity the following becomes available to raid.
TH7 offer 405 DE after 12 hours
TH8 offer 910 DE after 12 hours
TH9 offer 1,800 DE after 12 hours
TH10 offer 2,700 DE after 12 hours.
Summary, the higher your town hall level; the more dark elixir you supply into the game.
TL;DNR summary
Halls ranging from TH7 to TH10 all provide relatively equal gold supply to the game.
TH7 & TH8 all provide high elixir supply to the game, where TH9 & TH10 only provide moderate elixir supply to the game.
TH7 & TH8 all provide moderate dark elixir supply to the game, where TH9 & especially TH10 provide high dark elixir supply to the game.
Every hall is constantly providing an adequate supply of 2 of the 3 resources in the game.
