Something Strange I've wondered....

Trophies are taken from one another in exact amounts. For example, Bob 3 stars YourMom for 33 cups, Bob gains 33 to his total and YourMom loses 33 from her total. We all started with 0 cups and more and more people consistently join everyday, but the leaderboards always get higher and higher. Shouldnt the total cup count be getting smaller and where are the new cups coming from?

YourDad is the clan leader and he invites Bob into his clan and then kicks him as revenge for YourMom.
