So I had this great idea...
What if randomly every so often one of your chickens laid a golden egg?
You could sell it at a max price of 2,500 coins or keep it.
The question is, what do you do with it if you choose to not sell it?
Well, here's your answer.
You can trade it in for 3 of anything in the Hay Day shop (decorations, a pet etc.)

If you save up 3 eggs, you can enter a lottery and win up to 10,000 coins or 350 diamonds.

Hopefully Supercell will read this!!!

For trading pets and decos you have vouchers, and for lottery or gambling I don't think Hayday will ever implement this. Sorry for hurting your sentiments.

I highly doubt supercell cares about making "free" options or anything that will lose them money. I really enjoy the game and play every morning when I wake up, on quick breaks, and before going to bed. That being said there is really no way to advance in the game without purchasing diamonds for real money and without getting burnt out. I've stopped playing several times out of frustration. If you rely on the game you'll 'll be at level 1345 before you'll have enough saws, axes, deeds, markers etc to feel like you've accomplished anything. Don't get your hopes up. There are almost 500 posts of ideas and complaints that may never be read. If you can play the game with little to additional expectation then it's a good stress buster.

1. When I need help on thy farm, such as watering your bushes and trees, don't ask for help after you place items in your market stall, your customers will see you need help, in the catalogue and usually oblige.
2 Don't just produce items from car and boat orders, produce a constant supply of items you are low on and sell them via the market stall. You get more money for them, and if there happens to be an order you have produce for then send them on their way.
3 Try not to sell, tools and explosives, you'll be kicking yourself if you need to mine or expand and you just needed it after selling it.
