I would even buy a news stand, especially if there was a lad like tom giving out the Daily Dirt. It would be great to access the newspaper from the town rather than hopping back on the train to the farm

I think a new stand in town will be an outstanding idea!
May I expand on that idea and say newstand at the farm will b good too, I think. You can have two separate ad papers. One is for crops, such as corn, wheat, etc. And the other could be for full product, like the cakes, the pies, etc. In other words, one is for the ingredients and the other is for the finished item.
