Eh? What is a BH? And yes...I can calculate things...I have a brain, and if you actually think about different timed intervals you can have it so you don't start and finish the builders all at once.

Considering the time it takes to upgrade buildings and defences, the gem box attack would simply be horrible.

if all builders are in use for a long period of time, then we shouldn't need a builder to get the gem box.

if they do agree to this though they better decrease the upgrading time.

No, the idea does not have merit because you are not considering the consequences. You simply want a premium commodity given to you for free because you don't want to pay like others do.

People asking for more free gems have zero awareness of game functionality outside of their own interests. This is a free game for you because others pay for your admission. You want a way to allow people to NOT pay for this premium commodity. And can you guess what happens if people stop paying for your admission? You'll now have to pay to play or the game simply collapses because Supercell no longer has the revenue to support a game like this. Everyone loses.

If gem farming were allowed in this manner, they'd have to remove inactives from the game entirely to prevent too many free gems being farmed to maintain their revenue. So bye bye inactives. The resulting effect on the economy would be catastrophic, effectively killing the game. And for what? A few extra gems because to you're too cheap to buy them?

I just don't see it this way. Supercell supplies these gem boxes because plenty of people buy gems and this is their kick back. Its like going to the bar and buying three rounds and getting the forth round for 'free?' Not quite free because you have more than paid for the fourth bottle... If Supercell was hard pressed for money they would not even be offering gem boxes.

I thought the point of the game was to raid and steal from other villages? I don't think anyone would suggest raiding another's Gem Bank, but instead why not be able to raid from unclaimed gem boxes. I just don't see this being catastrophic. If Supercell felt that there were too many 'Free' gems floating around, they would simply limit the amount of 'Free' gems available.

Actually, the point of the game is to steal resources. Gems are not resources.

I'm not worried about SC's money, they're fine, it's the player I'm worried about. If I buy 3 drinks for myself and the bartender gives me a 4th for free, I still don't want it taken from me. I realize it was free, and the barkeep had no obligation to give me that drink, he's just doing it out of the kindness of his heart. However, the drink is still intended for me, and even if it sits on the bar for 15 minutes while I finish my other drinks, at no point do I think it's okay for someone to drink it for me without my explicit permission

Which part? Some of it wasn't meant patronising. But tone of voice gets lost in text and people fill in the blanks.

After this, I'm stepping out of this conversation. Already more than established things, and people are getting more than a bit upset about this topic.

Point taken that no one better touch my drink...though I would not say it was kindness that gave you a kickback, but more a marketing technique to get you to come back to the bar... In this line of thought, only those who have paid for gems should be subject to Gem boxes and I would agree with your sentiment but these gem boxes are given as a resource for players to accomplish tasks in the game and as therefore could be subject to raiding.

As HiFliya said, gems are not resources. They are a currency used to purchase resources. It's like having my credit card or bank account available to view. And those "kickbacks" are similar to cash rewards or maybe airline miles that are given back. A marketing technique to make sure you continue to use their card or bank. What gives you the right to steal my cash rewards or unclaimed air miles because I haven't used them yet?
