I am upgrading them to lvl 30, am at lvl 21 now. I guess 20 or above, coild be good
Max your base as much as possible including walls. When u can't tolerate it any more then upgrade. You want all buildings maxed and legos. As many lavas as you can deal with. Don't stress about heros. De is fairly lucrative there. And you will have plenty of timegood luck

20 would be ideal. But at the bare minimum, 15 would be okay.

Yes, like many have said get them to lv20 at the very least. Th10s won't find much loot below masters league. You will need well leveled heroes to farm up there.
Farming DE at TH10 is so easy...probably level 15 BK and level 15 AQ is enough.
