Its crazy. I put my town hall out side my walls to be destroyed just to try and stave of the many attacks I've had with not enough damage for shield activation. Its not easy to get to get town hall to lvl 6 with so many raids in succession.
$750,000 gold is a lot to stash or steal. Swapping jems for build time is great, I just think the game is more fun trying to actually get the loot from the GAME for upgrades then open the wallet to see how fast the upgrade will be completed.

lvl 9 cannons cost 800,000 gold.
Hopes that tells you that 750,000 gold for a TH upgrade gets redundent later.
