True, pushing back inactives to the degree in which they currently do may very well be hurting the economy. However, it does not negate the fact that allowing everyone to dump all their excess elixir into cheap, low-level walls was having a negative effect as well.

you are contradicting your own point. If you make the game unfriendly for the low levels there won't be any low levels players left. Then who will " soon be high level?"

The elixir wall update was a great feature which was introduced. It encouraged the interests of midlevels and meanwhile didn't put too much pressure on them. Upgrading the walls is the biggest pain. And don't say we had to go through the same thing. Just because u had to go through it. doesn't make is right.
I'm a TH9 that only has 44 skulls and only 2 more elixir building upgrades to go, so this update directly affected me In a negative way since now I won't be able to dump all my excess elixir in to walls. But overall I like the update because it is steadily improving the economy. The elixir for walls is mostly gone, just deal with it, no need to "get to hyper bro".

There is a balance. When higher levels feel the pinch too much, a lot of people will start complaining and quitting once they reach that point. You had it super easy for those two months that you were allowed to use elixir on your low-level walls. Now they've raised the bar a little bit, but you'll still be able to use elixir once you get your walls to level 8.

After all, all us "high-levels" you keep referring to had to use gold exclusively to upgrade our walls for the past two years, and we didn't quit. If we can do it, so can you.

Gold piles up so fast for me as a TH9, I have my CC upgrading for 5 mil gold, along with 2 X-Bows being constructed for 3 mil each (11 mil gold total for three things) AND very quickly my Gold storages are MAXED again.

I find on average, twice as much gold as I do elixir, which is a bummer because my LAB is just about done upgrading and troop upgrades are 6 mil each. If only I could be finding elixir like you!

With the updates from the Winter update, loot is likely to start to even out but this takes time. Be patient. Supercell works hard to provide a fun and balanced game for us all to enjoy, however, this is a non-stop work in progress. Changes aren't made over night.

    Good luck.

I agree with you but only because loot production is poor in relation to activity. Releasing more inactives solves that since people still need a builder free for walls. I would say skull walls suck but that's mainly because I decided to do it at the end of my elixir needs which coincided perfectly with the elixir for walls rollback. So I didn't get to use it at all. If the option wasn't there then I'd have been doing them all along and wouldn't be stuck farming for one resource like a tool while elixir piles up. I have one storage outside by the town hall so much don't top out and waste elixir into nothingness. Unlike many people I actually saved my elixir the entire time and hid nothing except resources for upgrades in an attempt to play the game as intended with something to lose. If everyone did that there wouldn't have been an issue unfortunately with scarcity comes hoarding and that's what the majority of people did.

To the OP, this makes sense!
Mortar Mauler: 6077 | Union Buster: 7082 | Nice & Tidy: 441 (currently saving pine trees) | Firefighter: 7 | Lowest Trophies: 0 | Clan: that's private! | THX(FYI it's a good sound company) | reached Silver Three March 2, 2014 | Before you post a loot complaint, stop & look within. Are you part of the problem?! Are you active and collecting your loot? If yes, you have the answer. Only when we fix ourselves we can fix others.

What TH are you and what league?

I'm TH10 mostly in Crystal leagues and I'm easily finding twice as much gold as I am elixir. Elixir is still far too rare to find, it has improved ever so slightly as a result of the recent update. But not nearly enough IMO, the elixir economy is still ruined.
