Those who pushed to masters as a th8, any advice?

Just been using gowipe since getting into crystal II, almost half way through crystal II. Been using a farming base since I seem to lose less trophies that way. Just curious if you all have any advice on attack strategies or base setups you used that helped a lot?

GoWipe and/or dragons and keep nexting. Keep keep nexting. Minimum 100 cups per session if you want to get their relatively quickly. Expect to lose 20-30 cups everytime you log off by a possible revenge.

Balloonion, took me no time at all. You don't have to next a ton, just go
on any th9. XBOWS down are a bonus. 2 rage 1 heal.

- After 2400, either next forever to snipe, or start either using balloons/minions or using barch+giants to get 50% of weak bases
- NEVER attack bases with a hole in the middle from the hole in the middle (yeah I know, it sounds straight forward, but when you'll need the last 3 trophies, you will want to bend this rule. DONT.)
- Use Revenge attack as much as possible. you'll see plenty of exposed TH there, as well as easy TH6/TH7 bases to beat with a 50 trophy win

Defense:
- put your TH outside, on a corner of the map (far from the base) with decorations around to indicate that you don't have any testlas around. It will make you lose 1 star each time, which will allow you to never be 2 starred or 3 starred

He just said everything! I recommend to really use Ballonion! Cheap, quick trained and can get you 2 stars very often!
use heal spells and boost your barracks if you want to climb quickly! Go for 50% on strong bases and go for 2 stars on weaker TH9 or 3 star TH8:eek: MOST IMPORTANT RULE : Don't attack when you are not sure to get at least 1 stars cause it's a lot frustrating to loose 30 cups after playing for 5 hours
Then snipe a lot and stay online a lot! Maybe Christmas holidays are perfect for that reason

What i learned

• As a TH8, it is MUCH MUCH MUCH easier to trophy push with MASS DRAGS + BALLOONS + MINIONS vs GoWiPe, this is how i was able to breach through master's league
• 2400-2500 range is very DRY with TH snipes, like 1 TH snipe for 2 hours of nexting, but when i reached around 2550 range TH Snipes were like 1 every 30 mins of nexting
• 3 lightning spells with mass drags is a must if you want to ensure a 2-star victory, your goal is to 2-star and you can 2 star almost any middle-tier TH9. It would be next to impossible to 3-star a TH9/TH10 in the Crystal league
• There are NO TH8's, during the past 2 days, except a single TH8 that i encountered. When nexting, around 80% TH10's and the rest are TH9's
• If you have a clan you must ask assistance from your clanmates to give you high level drags or balloons
• Maximize your playing time, dont go idle, the moment you go idle you will be attacked, most likely a revenge, and a revenge costs around 30-60 trophies
  
  

  Defense log/ Revenge list

• When you do get revenged, ride the whole duration out, rest, eat, sleep, go on with your life for the mean time.
• If you want to gem, gem your rax and spell fac, dont gem the hero and DE raxes
• NEVER EVER TRY TO ATTACK TH10'S WITH INFERNO TOWERS ONLINE. Learn how to look at inferno towers that are OFFLINE
• Most bases have their Xbows pointed to the ground ONLY.
• Before pushing, stock pile with gold and elixir, mass drags is your primary attacking army and it will cost you 360K per attack with spells excluding spells.
• Dont' attack a village if you're UNSURE if you'd get a star

Army and spell compositions i used

• BAM and lightning spells- effective til around 23xx trophies, only good for sniping then zap the DE storage
• Giants + Wizards and heals- i used this when i was at 23xx, susceptible to spring traps, i can only attack premmie TH9's with this. never a 2-star
• GoWiPe and heals- slightly better then Giants + Wizards
• Mass Drags + Balloons + Minions and 3 lightning- can 2 stars TH9's and even TH10s (without Inferno towers), just zap the nearest AD where you're going to deploy your army. THE MOST EFFECTIVE TROOP COMPOSITION FOR TH8 FOR PUSHING.

Timeline

• I started from around 1200 trophies last Saturday, 8PM GMT. Reached 2400 trophies at Monday, 8PM GMT. Reached 2600 trophies Tuesday 8PM GMT

but seriously... The troop composition that I used to get to Master at TH8 were 8 Giants (Level 4), 12 Wall Breakers (Level 4), 8 Hog Riders (Level 4), 10 Minions (Level 2) and the rest split between Barbarians and Archers (Level 5) & Level 4 Rage Spell.

1. Try to find exposed TH for easy trophies with minimal troop usage (2 level 5 archers can take out any level TH in the 3 minute time limit). Watch out for hidden teslas. If they pop up, drop the giants and hogs to absorb the attack and barch the TH. I used minions to easily snipe an exposed TH that had a mortar near by (with no air defense).


2. Search to find TH behind one wall. Again send in the least troops possible to destroy the TH. If all troops are needed the order to drop would be giants, hogs, wall breakers, barbs, archers then rage the barbs and archers to take out TH.


This method was the fastest & cheapest method to get to Masters and collect gems. The reason this worked well is because it's a fast troop build time which allowed me to string attacks back to back without letting someone attack me. The last 100 trophies to reach Masters is brutal.

idk if the guys in the thread are loon masters or of I just suck with lv5 loons, I've pushed to master a few times and did it in different ways each time, first time I somehow barely made it up with loons, used surgery method of course,l here's a vid demo of what it was like right before I hit master 3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgDw...MmYh_4IM-nLZ_Q if you want to see and/or learn how to use loons like that a bit better you can watch my loon intro guide, the second time I hit master I used hogs, but imo hogs/loons aren't very reliable because they are both very fragile troops if you place them wrong, find a suprise tesla or giant bomb, maybe even an air bomb and you raid may be over right then and there, as for gowipe, tbh gowipe is not a great strategy for pushing because it picks up % slowly, it's nice to 3 star anything up to a max TH8 (they can tank through the base but against TH9s and Th10s your troops die out early and you often don't hit that 50% 1 star) but gowipe does work well against multi infernos and can work well against premmie Th10s you find on the way up, but honestly speaking in my opinion the best/most reliable army comp at TH8 to push is Gowiva, on my push all the way to master 2 I lost a grand total of 1 raid while using the army comp and it was because I was because I went full on ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mode while I was raiding a maxed TH9, watch my channel I put it up to help people and give them more in depth perspective of what low level TH pushing is like, I thrashed multiple maxed TH9s with gowiva and generally don't raid inferno bases, while when I push with gowipe I prefer raiding premmie Th10s with infernos, loons are cheap and fast but it takes real skill to win with them all the time and I don't think it's very reliable with lv5 loons, I learned that a army fast army eg. raids 1 star every 30min, and fails once a day will basically gain you no cup profit, using gowipe or gowiva for a 2 star every 2hrs is a lot more reliable, also I do think drags is the most reliable army but then again I don't like drags
