'Trap' bases

Hi guys, i'm new here but i'm currently in the Crystal League and working up to get the 1000 gems to build my 5th hut.

Problem I have is my base clearly isn't good enough for the league and I get 3 starred every time I leave it for a while which considering i'm just about managing 4-5 trophies ever 10-15 minutes, it's unbelievably annoying.

This guy I saw had a clever little trap whereby there was a single space I could put my troops next to the hall in the centre, filled with teslas, mortars, wizard towers, spring-traps etc even though it honestly looked fair simple with there being no chance of a tesla being there however I was completely fooled.

Are there any examples of these I can use?

Search black hole bases -- that's what you're referring to.

But best way to climb is to get more than 70 trophies in one sitting.

Got -43 from some ♥♥♥♥♥ who 'revenged' me. Idiot arghhhhhhh wasted 2 hours for nothing.

I'm TH level 9 mate but my defences are really low, I rushed upgrading the TH and other stuff instead of the mortars etc.

put your TH outside... it's free (as opposed to having to rearm your 100k traps, rearm your 80k xbows, your 2k infernos, not even counting the 300k elixir and gold loot you lose...)

and no one will ever 2 star you

I've had my TH outside since I started. I cant promise you that it's been almost a year now that anyone got 50% on my base. no one ever touched more than 1 storage.

The worrying thing is that my Town Hall IS on the outside. My defence is just too weak, my level 4 mortars do nothing.

TBH if you're a premmie in Crystal you will be crushed daily. If you plan on trophy pushing revenge attacks like that will be common since your base is weak. IMHO drop down to Gold and build up your defenses and troops. Trick spawns/Black Holes will only get you so far. When I see those and there is tons of loot its like a challenge. I always accept and crush the core lol

I didnt rush my th9. I maxed out my th8 including almost all walls. My base naturally keeps me in crystal off of defends. I usually get attacked 3-5 times a night and dont give up stars until my ammo in xbows runs out or a th10 beats the ♥♥♥♥ out of me...

Take a step back and atleast get all towers to th8 max and lvl 8 walls. Then push trophies...
