X-Bow - upgrade to the max or not ?

High,

just a quick quesion here I have always thought that the Xbox max level would be my last upgrade in the game because it is very expensive and do not add much to its dps (but it is stronger and can resist longer).

i currently have only max or max-1 buildings except walls and teslas and 7.4 milions gold available

what would you max first ?

- the last air defense which is still max-1
- a cannon (all max-1)
- an archer tower (all max-1)

(motar, sorcerer towers and inferno towers are already maxed)

I had a similar thought process/decisions. The Xbow might not add much DPS, but it really adds HP. It helps more than you think. I try to save cheaper upgrades, so I would do the most expensive ones first (within reason). I actually think the cannon upgrades are more valuable, but I'd rather save the 6.4m for later and do the 8m upgrades when you can.

Also, we might disagree but mortars were my lowest priority of all defenses. I just don't think they add much of anything against level 7 troops.

After playing for 2 years I have decided it really doesn't matter what order you do defenses, just that you do them. I would do the xbow or air def just because of the long wait time.

I'm currently working on maxing all 3 xbows now. My process is get the hardest upgrades out of the way first... or I usually work my way from the core outwards. Right now mortars and cannons have the lowest priority.

Tesla are level 5 with one currently going to 6 (i konw it's a shame....)
I am in the same process as Pete82 : i save ♥♥♥♥♥ (edit : what's wrong here ???? i meant not expensive) upgrades for the times when i am not able to provide enough gold to the fourth builder (5th is kept for walls and is only using elixir)

Max ATs are a biggie now in anti-farm terms.
Yes, the X-Bows biggest plus is the HP, as theres usually 3 sitting around your TH.
If youre planning on big 🏆s anytime soon, then do the bows for a big hp bump. Otherwise, ATs and teslas smell good to me.

so it will be AD or xBow (still need to think about it), and i also always have at least 1 tesla uprading

a lot of players always think that xbows maxed or not maxed still doesn't make a difference but it does tho...most likely your not gonna have just 1 of your xbows wondering alone...it will be situated close to your core along with the other 2 xbows and your inferno towers as well...the damage from all 3 maxed xbows in this aspect is what makes it totally worth it.

The order by which you should upgrade your defenses is completely based on the individual. There's too many factors an variables that come into play for forum members to be able to help you. Just upgrade whatever seems to align best with your goals at the moment.
