Extra Builders (OK, extra ½ Builders)

I know that this comes close to a ruled out idea or two, but posting it anyway. What's the worst that could happen? Get denied? 'Oh no, my awesome idea!' (/joking sarcasm)

    OK, two ideas...

Builder's Assistant: A builder that actually doesn't add very much to the ability to upgrade your base/village. This person (and only one per village) can only do instant duration buildings and maybe obstacles. This means they can add some new buildings, and can upgrade walls. They aren't good enough for the real work at hammering out better buildings, but every little bit helps.

Lazy Builder: Just like a normal Builder, but with a significant difference. The time it takes for this guy to do work is doubled or tripled. They would be best used for instant or fast upgrades, like walls, new buildings, and upgrading early stage low level buildings like cannons. Highly recommend NOT to use on anything that is 24 hours or longer. Upgrade times are already painful as it is at mid to high level, and having the times increased several times would just make that worse. (Note: Job canceling penalties would still apply. Return of ½ the investment and any time done wasted) Maybe even add a minimum time to even instant upgrades would be a good idea for such a builder.

So, comments? Too much a ruled out idea, or does either have merit?

I'm not sure on the game balance for either. I posted this in a different thread, and got a comment about it messing up game economics. People would love to dump resources when desired, but can't because of current Builder restrictions. And that maybe the whole point, people holding onto loot with the risk of someone else taking some of it. That's part of what the game is about after all, looting and getting looted.

That's the exact reason why this should not be implemented

I would pay 10 gems to speed up the time of builders

It takes forever for an upgrade to happen!

A counter argument would be that if a person is willing to keep a builder free almost all the time, they could raid whenever they want anyway and just dump resources into walls regardless.

I was thinking of doing just that when the lvl 6 walls were upgradable to 7 with elixir. I don't now, since I'd get more elixir than I can possibly spend, even with expensive armies every now and then.

Experienced people split the difference by trying to time builders to be done at regular intervals.

So the argument of why either of these ideas should not be done isn't as strong as one might think.
