Should spying on the enemy in war be considered ♥♥♥♥♥ing?

This is an interesting question to me. My clan is divided on the issue. Some consider it as part of the game and thus have no qualms with spying. Some think that spying is fine insofar as only the war log is seen (leaving the bases, cc troops, and trap placement unseen). Still others think think that spying is catagorically wrong and should never be attempted.

Im of the opinion that spying, or at least attempted to spy, adds a bit of flair to a game that, at times, lacks the requisite strategic possibilities to be enjoyable. I do, however, feel that trap and cc spying violates some kind of coc code (lol). Idk. What do you think?

(I apologize for the title. I forgot that one cannot write the word ch e@ting. I would fix it if i could)

    Try Cheeting. ..

I voted no..... If you are daft enough to leave your clan open, or accept new members after war is declared, then it's your own fault....

It's not nice, but hey, this is a war/looting game.....

(If sc came up with a way of stopping it, I wouldn'the have any objection, till then, I keep my clan invite only, and we don't accept anyone once war is declared. .. problem solved)
Supercell neutered my beloved Zaps.... Oh well, adapt and survive... Now BAMing in a league near you, with max rage...

Yes I would consider that ♥♥♥♥♥ing.

However, if you are a clan war you can prevent it happening.

    a) Just do not accept new players during war.
    b) Be diligent enough to cross check those who try join with your enemy clan.

If you are careless enough to let spy's in during war...that's fair game as far as im concerned.

Personally I can't be asked to go spy But I do watch who i let in while at war, I think ..all is fair in war as long as it's within the game and not aided by third party cheäts.

It's underhand. I wont allow it in our clan.

If someone has to resort to spying it says a lot about their skills- and not in a good way.

Maybe a tad judgemental of me.

    b) is not an adequate safeguard. A lot of people have friends who play CoC but who are not necessarily in the same clan. Someone could easily ask a friend to join a particular clan and take screen shots. That's why clans should not accept any invitation requests during a war from someone they do not know. It does make it harder for nonstop war clans to recruit, of course.

I agree b) isn't perfect, but in some cases spys are from the actual clan you are in war with. B will at least reduce the chances of it been a spy.

While of course a) is the only 100% way to prevent it happening. When I was in a clan war clan that is what we did.
