Defenses have a timer while walls dont. Because he farms so much, its better for him to keep rushing. The game is about offensive anyways. Nice dude, Only suggestion I dont know if you are into War or not, but if you are I wouldn't upgrade my mortars or xbows so soon as that will match you up against higher th 9s. Id wait a little until your war troops are a bit stronger.Here's me at just under 2 months at th9:

Yesterday I decided to start my upgrade on TH9. I started with 0 Skulls and Right now after 20 hours I have 18 skull walls. I'm happy with my decision to continue and rush it. Add onto that the cost of the TH itself and CC that's another 4.8 mil I could've used on walls. Would you say that 15-18 skull walls a day is a good goal to set until TH9?
Yeah that seems like a good plan to me. You can always ask questions I am sure other rushers will chime in from time to time too. You should be good dude. Frosti what clan are you currently in?

Usfc, im up with a dilemma. The speed at which we farm up walls is much higher than our hero levels. What do you plan on doing then, when you max walls?

Hey salsa, I am planning to stay and get my heroes pretty well leveled up before I move on, mainly because I really like war. If I wasnt really into war, I would move on to TH 10 as soon as my walls were finished. Especially cuz all my main war troops are already maxed

Farming walls before TH9 is a good thing if you are not wasting elixir. If you are wasting elixir, then it is not. I hope you consider the trade off of spending time now farming for walls versus waiting for TH9 to spend the same time.
You will make as much or more progress on your walls as a TH9 than you will as a TH8 since you can dump the elixir into lego walls. Both resources are useful for walls at TH9 versus only half of them at TH8. Even with a loot penalty of 50% on TH7, being able to use both resources as opposed to just the gold means that it works out the same or better in the end (50% of 2 is more than 90% of 1).
