My Clash of Clans Journey Thus Far (Maxer to Rusher)

I'm in C3 and I consider myself very active ,so I think following your idea rushing is the thing for me. However my walls are only level 7. I think that in the time it takes to upgrade to TH9 I can do a good amount of the walls to skull walls. I have no use for my Elixir. My question is this: Eventhough I didn't prioritize walls like smart rushers do you think I can get away with rushing to TH9 and rush that way?

Walls are definitely not necessary and you will be fine even if you rush now, but I find that my walls are an intimidating factor for attackers. I know sometimes when I am searching, if I come across high level walls I just hit next because its not worth my trying a little harder when I can find another base thats easier. I think you should be fine though

Yeah everyone that rushes, who knows what they are doing have the same fundamentals, some just prioritize certain things over others. As stated before somewhere on this thread anyone considering rushing vs maxing look up The Hulk Files "hulk manifesto: maxing vs rushing" he breaks it down in a way that made sense to me and now I am glad I rushed to th 9

I think last season I had around 600 attacks won. I just had nowhere to dump all the resources and watching the Hulk's video is the reason I plan on rushing my troops are maxed -Pekkas and DT

I started playing Aug 2013. I was told to max out th before ug so I did bc well I didn't know any better. Lol I maxed out my th 8, then maxed out th 9, and now 15 walls away from completely maxing out my th 10. I wonder if I could have max farmed my base faster if I did rush. Guess ill never know.

I'm a fan to rushing. Otherwise I would still have th8 troops lol.

We have even a few 8.5 and 1 9.5 in my clan :P

Hey guys been a while since I gave an update of where I am.

My current base:



This is a base I designed myself its called "The Revamp" and you can find it in base design 101. Has been working extremely well for me and my clan mate who is also using it.

Quick update:

- DE Troops are maxed for TH9 level now. I am starting to understand how to three star Th9's in wars way better than before

- AQ is level 16, BK is level 15, I will say the last two levels I have gemmed up my AQ (no gem time on BK) because I need her in war. That being said I let her build for 2-4 days if possible before gemming the rest of her time because 7 day gem is quite expensive.

(note this doesn't take into account loot bonus: 35k Gold and lix plus 100 DE adds up)
-Gold grab: 677 Million
-Heroic Heist: 1.8 Million
-Elixir Escapade: 671 Million

-I still think Crystal 3 is the best place to farm. I still use Barch with 10 minions and 2 wbs. I am still finding collector raids 175-275k on both resources easily. I am having no trouble keeping one of my heroes upgrading constantly.

-I have 56 Lava walls to go before I am done with them. Still liking my decision to rush through th8

The level of your defenses is determined by how long you've been playing.

The level of your walls is determined by how much you've been playing.

Some people play more than others and they usually have higher level walls. Some when faced with the choice of playing less while waiting to max a TH or rushing, getting better offense, and continuing to be able to play the game as much as they want choose to upgrade their TH before their other buildings are finished.
