Every little saved makes a difference. People just hate waste, be it a few cents to a few thousand dollars.
Also, some people don't buy gems, so every little bit properly saved counts.
Are you one of those people that buys a bottle of soda from a vending machine, and just leave or toss away half a full bottle?
Seriously? Wasting a "few cents" is the same as "a few thousand dollars" to you? I wish I had your problem. You know those free mushrooms that give ya 1-5 gems! Is that like them giving you a few cents to a few thousand dollars? It has to work both ways.
I wouldn't buy from a soda machine. Bottle costs $1.75 for what 16 oz. I can get a 44 oz for $0.79 from the gas station. HOLY SH%^ I just saved $0.96 cents that's NINE BOOSTS!!!!
Way to exaggerate things and fly off the handle there buddy. Next time remind me to not throw random numbers around when you are near by. They might hit you in the head and strike you dumb(er). You should know what my point was with that. Don't distract from the topic.
And you basically proved my point. You would rather buy from the quickie-mart some soda than to overpay for something from the vending machine. Same with the boost bonus. Not everyone wants to overpay, especially when it is more than they want.
Here is an idea, maybe not everyone treats gems the same way. Some may not even pay real money to get game 'money'. Some might actually resist the micro transaction 'scheme' that is in this game (which said scheme keeps the game funded, so it isn't a bad scheme.) So to say people are stupid for pinching pennies in game is just ignorant.
Actually junior pacman was 25 cents, lol. Apparently you haven't learned money management, it's not about the 20 cents its about throwing it away on nothing. I agree with the OP...it's not the times when I get interrupted at and hour and half that bother me it's the times I get interrupted fifteen minutes in. There really is no reason not to do this....they could even make it a one hour boost for 6 gems instead of 5 and I would probably do that more often. And as advice for the future to you, you ain't gonna raid any panties, clashing for hours at a time everyday.

Exactly.
10 gems is low cost for each barracks/hero/spell factory, but when you have a busy life with kids - just like I do. You just know you won't be able to play for 2 hours uninterrupted, so rarely choose to boost.
That means we are using less gems, and less likely to purchase extra gems in the future.
I would hit the boost option far more if it was 5 gems for 1 hour.
Agree with everything you said here, but especially agree with the part I bolded. I was just thinking the same thing earlier today. I can carve an hour in my schedule, probably once or twice a day. But I can't carve 2 consecutive hours more than once or twice a week. So I'd spend way more gems on 6 gem, 1-hour boosts than the more efficient 10 gem, 2-hour boosts. For those who really can carve 2 hours out of their schedule, the 10-gem boosts would be the way to go.
Still amused how 20 cents is killing ya'll. PLEASE SUPERCELL change your pay structure, which is broken because these guys will spend more if you do.
BTW PacMan was a 25 cent game, I believe I had assumed you'd be a big spender back in the 80s and spend an entire dollar at one time. My mistake.
pausing the boost is a great idea
saves a lot of time as well
