I feel that the leader should be able to create customized ranks for members, typing in name and checking options on a list of powers. The leader could be limited to a number of characters between 10 and 15, and the leader could select from the following options:
-Kick members
•Demote/kick elders
~Demote/kick co-leaders
-Promote members (to elder)
•Promote elders (to co-leader)
-Be kicked by elders
-Be kicked by co-leaders
-Send mail
-Start wars
-Edit clan bio, logo, & other details
Et cetera.
This ability would be very helpful for both rewards and punishments. The leader could give the most loyal members--as well as co-founders of the clan--the rank "Senior Co" or just "Leader", with power over co-leaders. (S)he could also temporarily give people the rank of "Dunce" or "Probation" as a punishment for minor bad behavior.
People should get kicked for bad behavior. The problem with being able to do this is the leader could rename people whatever they wanted....and I can't possibly see that getting abused, can you? A bunch of 12 year olds with the authority to name anyone anything? Don't get me wrong, I like the idea..but I wouldn't abuse it. I feel pretty confident saying I'm in the minority. Plus, SC doesn't like pointing out the negative, so not going to happen.
