Maxing walls for TH8?

I have 73 skull walls left to do. I have been at Th8 for 9 days ( the elixir upgrade def slowed me down). I play for about 1-2 hours per day. I have 8 days left until my upgrade for TH9 is complete. The way I looked at it was, there is so much stuff to spend elixir and gold in TH9. The last thing I would want to do is upgrade my walls to skulls at that time.

Get your golem to lvl 2 and spend time maxing your walls it will pay off in the long run. Im currently th9 with 80 lava walls and the rest lego walls and having all my walls skull going into th9 really saved me a lot of time. Get that golem lvl 2 and your w.e dark troops that u can while u finish your walls bro.

Bingo! This was exactly what I would say too. There is your time right there. Finish the DE upgrades and farm out the walls.

I'd say get about half and half then upgrade the town hall and try to farm the rest while the town hall is upgrading.

I'm in the same boat. All defenses are maxed for th8 and all I have left to do are BK from level 9 to 10, random troop upgrades and walls (I still have 113 skull walls to go) plus collectors to level 12.

Personally I plan on finishing at least the last BK level and collectors, all the while working on walls. As long as I still have troop upgrades to work on to spend elixir on, I'll keep working on my walls until I know I can finish them within the 10 upgrade window to th9.

All that to say that my vote is to finish the walls.

If your buildings are maxed then I would say move to TH9. Having idle builders is really a waste of time, I can't stand it. If your buildings aren't maxed, then obviously don't go to TH9 yet, and try to finish the walls. My current situation is the opposite. I've maxed my walls but I haven't maxed my buildings yet, 1 month into TH8. Which sucks, because I have full storages most of the time...

Max all walls at your current Town Hall level. You will thank yourself later in the game :P

If I were you, I would upgrade to town hall 9 right now. This way you won't be wasting all that potential gold and elixir simply because you can't spend it quick enough. Since it sounds like you are a pretty good farmer, the upgrade won't hurt you much, if at all. The loot penalty that many people whine about is barely noticeable, especially in higher leagues. I am a newish town hall 9 in crystal III and barch fairly easily up here, even with my town hall 8 troops and camps.

I've been debating this. I have my important defenses maxed and the troops I use for farming. I still have quite a few lab upgrades left like all the dark troops except for golems. I'll probably give it a few weeks before I upgrade so I'm not too rushed. Just wondering, how long did you stay at TH8 for?

maxing out walla is just waste of time now because it will take gold(after the Christmas update).All those who did before,hola you did it! And those who didn't, hard luck,now have to wait for sc to place an update again.
