Best use of gem at TH9

Well title is a bit misleading, I'm currently TH8 and rushing to TH9. Do you guys think I should use my remaining 1270 gems on speeding TH8-->TH9 upgrade by 9 days or leave TH to upgrade normally and use gems to speed up lvl6 troops upgrades by 9 days? I'm leaning towards speeding TH over lab because I can start my army camps at the same time and the troops will reach lvl6 at same time either way since I'd have to wait for TH if I use them on lab. I already decided that I will rush so tell me what you guys think thanks!

Note: I baught 6500 gems when I started playing about 5-6 weeks ago and used them on 5 builders and TH8 lab upgrades (lvl5 troops), I have 1270 remaining and they will be my last, I won't be buying gems anymore it was just for builders.

best use of gems will be boosting spells and barracks, since the grind level required for th9 is very high. walls alone cost 1Billion and around 4M de is needed.
dont rush the build time, just take it easy and play it normally. i do used finish now when i am already sleepy and the builders will end 2 am in the morning..

if u can wait a lil bit for those lab upgrades, i suggest gems those barracks. i only use my gems for boosting anyway

Thanks for the advice guys. My reasoning is that the faster I get strong army camps and lvl6 troops, the faster I'll be able to farm well. It takes 35 days to get lvl6 farming troops so I'm not sure that boosting barracks is more effective then 9 days of faster lvl6 archer or lvl6 barb, etc. I usually don't have problems with farming, right now my walls are maxed by my defenses are very rushed.

well you will be overwhelmed with the required farming rate in th9.. thus without boosting it will hard for you to finish it without sleeping builders. (having sleeping builders is a waste of time Since you spend finishing now in the early days.)

it was a common strategy that having one builder for walls. but i dont buy that strategy

if u cant wait, then gem barch to lvl 6 and then use the rest of ur gems to boost.

I've been at Th9 for 2 months and have had no problem farming for my lvl3 xbows, wiz towers, golems are 3 now, witches are 2.. all with my level 5 Barch in Gold 1. You hardcore farmers think you need max farm troop as soon as possible, but ya just don't.

ps. If you can't wait for your Th upgrade you're going to be hard pressed waiting for Th9 upgrades, which many take 10d+. Also figure it in dollars man.. That many gems is like $15.. is it really worth it to spend $15 on one Th upgrade. Don't get me wrong i've spent way to much on this game but it's just not worth it to rush it.

If you can't wait for the upgrade to th9, be prepared to get another pack/box of gems - everything starts to take forever at th9. Lvl 5 barch is already pretty good as Isarofeen says, and army camps don't take that long compared to some upgrades at th 9.

Upgrade time on heroes is the most annoying thing to wait for (and the longest) - if I were to spend gems on anything besides the occasional barracks boost, it would be that.

Why are you so concerned with walls when your defenses are lagging that bad? Focus on defenses not walls. Especially after lv8, a mil per wall is excessive when you need to spend it upgrading cannons and archer towers

So did u also farm full legos with lvl 5 barch?
At the moment I started doing lavas, I couldn't do this in 4 months with only lvl 5 barch
