Kindle fire runs Fork, a cut down version of android based on an older android operating system. It does not run android as we think of it today. it is not an android based tablet becuase it can not access android apps store, use google play cards for purchases or save data to google+. If it was a true android tablet this thread wouldn't even exist. As long as Amazon refuses to allow Google play on thier device there will be app developers who chose not to make a seperate version of thier software to work on amazons antiquated platform. Especially when thier percentage of the world wide market is so minuscule.

Amazon has chosen to use a proprietary Android based operating system for the Kindle called Fire OS. They have done so, in part, to keep you from the Google Play Store. Supercell has apparently decided not to develop a version of Clash of Clans for the Fire OS.
The Kindle Fire OS isn't called 'Fork'. It is a fork of the Android operating system. Hence, the Kindle Fire is Android based.
The Kindle Fire OS is called, surprisingly, 'Fire OS'. Boy, they don't lack imagination at Amazon, do they?
Anyway, point is, the Kindle Fire will run CoC without altering any software. You just have to load it differently.

All you have to do is google for kindle fire clash of clans and you'll find websites that provide files and instructions to side load coc on your kindle. You have to manually update it from those same sites each time coc updates but it's pretty easy. Also, you cannot buy gems because you have no Appstore connection.

The fire tablet can run clash of clans perfectly and for a undertoned device offers specs better then most tablets nowadays. And you have to request to be added to the appstore, and as far as i know thats pretty much it. If you could explain to me more about this open source stuff im sure i could find out
