Why was I banned?

My clan was banned today for trolling a scammer.,. Yes we trash talked him in our description but the guy deserved it.,. He joined our clan for a few months, began telling us his mom was sick and being sent to nashville for surgery and he needed money. When he saw that we wernt gonna help him out he went back to his clan were his second profile was.,. Not knowing why he left i joined that
Clan only to find him bragging about how he had spent the weekend with his wife in nashville but life couldn't be better now that he was back at his work in texas with his girlfriend,. Yes we posted some inappropriate things about him in our cd. But the guy deserved it. Creeps and scammers like this guy hurt the game. Not the first time my

Exactly. When I went to sleep it said "adults only". When I woke up I was banned.

For those posters that keep telling me it was my responsibility - Hopefully this same thing happens to you. Then maybe you will begin to understand that this is an absolutely horrible policy. Guilt by association is no way to treat your customers.

It is not. Great power comes with great responsibility. Lol, but seriously. It's chain of command. If they will not impose that rule, then everyone (Leads) would have an excuse not to get banned after posting TOS-violating clan stats. It will pose more problems. Don't get with the customer thing, it's not a shield buddy.I am a customer too, I want that rule

That's why I think it would be nice if there was a message underneath the clan description: "last edited by: ______".

Then they would know who posted the offensive message and only one person would have to get banned.

The co-leader banning thing is tough but with co-leadership comes responsibility, it's not possible for SC to know who posted the offensive message and it's a classic example of one bad apple affecting all of them. The alternative would be that no-one is banned and that would mean it would turn into the wild west out there.

It is a good idea, but you're talking about a group of developers who haven't been able to get the simple "elixir for walls" solution solved in over 3 months and in 2 updates. It doesn't shock me one bit that SC would apply bans to the leader/all coleaders before considering the only sensible idea which is to implement a "last edited by" feature on the description.

2 day ban only one in my clan who was banned never been banned before. Message doesn't make sense not sure what I did? How can I find out so I don't get banned again?
Tried to contact supercell, I only get an email back saying I have to log in to contact them, but I'm banned so I can't do that??? Very frustrating...

My guess is we will see more of these bans in the next little while due to the saving bases function. In the last war there were numerous text bases, some friendly, some not so much. I almost never saw these before the update because they were a lot of work to reset.

If you have offensive text/pics spelled with walls someone could screenshot your base and get you a ban.

SUPERCELL needs to make it more evident for what reasons a ban has been enforced. It all seems so arbitrary and haphazard the way they go about issuing these things. Op, I'm sorry you had to experience this first hand.

Thanks. I was not aware that they could not see who wrote the message. This seems starnge but I still don't see how it gives them the right to basically steal time and money from players. At least provide a shield for the duration of the ban.

Axion- it may seems farfetched but it is exactly what happened. I am positive our message said "adults only" and that was it when I went to sleep because I looked when I had to change our troohy level for a visitor. 10 hours later when I logged back in in the morning I was banned. You can believe me or not 👍. Thanks for the rest of your message though and it should be interesting in the clan tomorrow to say the least.

Supercell is not that fast. They did not ban you for what your description said the night before you were banned. Screenshots last forever and your clan was caught saying something offensive in their Clan Description. Consider this corrective actions. Will your clan risk doing this ever again? I doubt it. Behavior modified. Method to accomplish this is justified in the eyes of Supercell.

Two wrongs don't make a right. That had nothing to do with you. This isn't "To Catch A Predator". He technically didn't violate any of the Games TOS, not sure how he hurts the game because he lies about his sick mother and ♥♥♥♥♥s on his wife with a girl in Texas. As the leader of our war clan with 4 co-leaders, 1 of which is the leader of our main clan, the other two have been with us for over a year, I trust their judgement. I wouldn't have allowed them to be coleaders if I didn't. We get rowdy, but we do it in clan chat.

It only seems arbitrary because the punishment can sometimes happen weeks or months after an offense. You did something wrong at some point, I don't fault supercell just because you received your punishment at an inconvenient time.
