Somehow, a Christmas tree spawned and ignored my drop zone (similar to how gem boxes can ignore drop zones). I thought I designed my base so that obstacles would only spawn on the border, so this seems odd.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Does it get much better than this?

I now have three 2014 trees but the first two popped up elsewhere on my base. So glad I finally have one in my holiday corner with my 2012 and 2013 trees!

-As of right now, there are 117 threads about the Christmas tree. We only need one.
Due to the high number of threads being made about Christmas trees, (asking questions about them.)
I have compiled an everything there is to know about them to refer people to. Please, read this before posting a new thread about them, and if you have to ask a question, post it in the comments of this thread to keep the forum less cluttered.
If you have anything else that should be added, please comment and ill add it in.

So, what is there to know about the Christmas tree?

    1) They are random, you can not force one into your base.

    2) OFFICIAL SC STATEMENT: Some get them sooner, some later, but everyone will get roughly the same number of trees in the long run.
    This can be found here.

    3) Each present is worth 5,000 elixir.

    4) The maximum amount of presents you can get is unknown. 23-12-2014

4b) There is no telling when you will get a present.

[/I]5) You can not be viewing your village to receive a Christmas tree. (You must be either attacking, scouting or offline.)

    6) Christmas trees can spawn right next to buildings, and require a 2x2 space.

    7) If a Christmas tree spawns on your base and conflicts with one of your saved base layouts, like any obstacle, you will have to move the affected building(s)

    8) This is what the Christmas tree looks like.
    [/SIZE]

    9) There has been a lot of speculation about people only getting one present. However, while raiding I found one with two. I ended the battle before I saw it, but you can still see it on the attack report.

    10) The christmas tree costs 25k gold to remove, and awards 75k for chopping down. In addition to the gold, it also comes with a whopping 5xp.

    11) Current record holder for christmas trees.
