Nah, not overpowered at all. I have been playing around with them. Bringing a few is great for farming, but golems are far better tanks in war/trophy pushing due to immunity to spring traps and no added splash damage effects

Also, using this same exact logic, you could say any troop is OP.

Just take any max level troop (besides lava hounds) and compare it to the level 1 golem's DPS per housing space.

You can kill 3 lvl 7 giants with a spring trap. And you have a lot of spring traps on TH9/TH10.

    Golem vs. argument

Giants better off on point defenses and single infernos.
golems better on multi, traps, splash.

i could see some bases being stronger/weaker against either depending on setup. Really depends

While i think the whole OP is kinda out to lunch with his comparison, you'd have to compare lvl 5 golems to lvl 7 giants to make it proper. Therefore it's 6600 compared to 6300+1260+1260 = 8820. So the golem still far exceeds it in overall health. Not only that, but as a meat shield the golems sole job is to lock on to defences and take the damage while the offensive troops do there thing. With Giants, after the 1st giant dies, that defense can target the next closest raider which could be a wizard, archer, or PEKKA (in the case of teslas)

i agree except on the point defences. Golems have more overall health and can lock up the defences.

    compare it to a golem

    golem takes 30 places

    6 Giants 30 places

    6 Giants = 6000 health

    golem lvl 1 = 4500 health

    Giant 6 is strong enough

    Dont you guys agree?
I'll just list your errors without judging you:

-You are comparing level 1 golems with MAX level giants. If you are comparing max level troops, use level 5 golems.
-A golem is immune to spring traps and receives less total damage from AOE attacks.
    -A level 1 golem has 4500*1.4 = 6300 HP.
    -6 level 7 giants has 1100*6 = 6600 HP.
