    Its not relevant to this but i assume he means having a dps of say 60 and damage per shot of 22.5. The damage per shot is neither rounded up or down and does 22.5. This means it will two shot something with 45 hp. This also means that if it hit something with 46 hp the two shots wont be rounded up to 23 and the building would survive.
    Thats my take but i had never heard of it before so i may be wrong

    Did you not watch the video the moment it was announced vs a Giant? Giant didn't die any faster against the new tower.

    Just by shooting faster it is more efficient. It is one reason why the X-Bow is fantastic despite having lower DPS than Cannons, Archer Towers & Teslas. It has such minimal wastage.

    Even fractions of seconds can make a difference in Clash.

    I have noticed a difference, and thank God it's in the defenders favor. Every raid against a max base shouldn't be a loss. Check out the top players defensive wins. Not everyone who plays this game is a good player, but yet even a weak player seems to be able to win all the time. Base defenses need a BIG BUFF!!!!!

    DPS hasn't changed. It fires twice as fast now, meaning it finishes off weakened troops faster. AT now fires every 0.5 seconds, Teslas fire 0.6 secs.

    The slower you spawn your troops, the more damage they're taking. If an Archer Tower was able to 1 shot an Archer prior to the update, then it took 1 second for it to do so. With 2 Archer Towers in close proximity, now that same Archer would be killed in 0.5 secs by the 2 Archer Towes nearby. A level 5 Mortar is not able to OHKO Lv 6 Archers, but now the new Archer Tower can finish off all those weakened Archers in half the time. Same goes with Wizard Towers combined with Archer Towers.

    So as you can see, DPS doesn't mean (insert bad word). The firing rate is far superior and is a reason why you've experienced a stronger Archer Tower. NOTHING to do with DPS.

    No, the defenses don't need a buff... That won't do anything. The game was designed so that everyone could lose. All you need to win is get a 50%, while 50% of the buildings are (insert bad word), there are people who pushed to 4000 trophies with Barch because of this. Supercell designed the game so you can lose trophies, but still be able to protect your resources with good defenses.

    And now they're trying to nerf Barch because people are using it too effectively to push. They want you to use more expensive armies instead.

    Heres the math:
    lvl 13 Archer Tower Before Update: 98 DPS; Rate of Fire: 1 second
    (98DPS*1Second)= 98 damage per attack.
    Archer level 7 health = 48 HP; Killed in one second
    Giant level 7 health = 1100 HP; Killed in 12 seconds (11.22 rounded to 12)

    lvl 13 Archer Tower After Update: 98DPS; Rate of fire: 0.5 second
    (98DPS*0.5seconds)= 49 damage per attack.
    Archer level 7 health = 48 HP; Killed in half a second
    Giant level 7 health = 1100 HP; Killed in 12 seconds (11.22 rounded to 12)

    There is no change in damage per second, however there is a change in the rate of fire. This difference will be noticeable in troops with low health such as the archer, but the same with higher health troops like the giant.
