Thread: What does Supercell have against Barch/ Archers

    Because there should be more to this game than spamming tier one troops and still "winning" battles. Barch is incredibly boring and takes very little thought or skill. No fun imo to play the game that way. Glad they are taking small steps to stop barching as much.

    It doesn't really matter what SC intended the game to be. The game has evolved just like anything else. The goal of the game is to upgrade your camp and progress through the game, not to raid with big armies and delay that process. SC presented a platform to play around with "big" armies when they introduced clan wars. You fail to see that every thing they do has $$$$$$$$ behind it and not what is best for the game. They are very efficient at giving the consumer what they want but yet have great fore-site to turn that into profits, whether you want to believe it or not. For instance, introducing clan wars but not allowing heroes to be available on offense when they are being updated. Why are they allowed to be available on defense? Well, no one is going to gem their hero for defensive purposes. By limiting the effects of barching they are in fact extending the time it takes to progress through the game, hence more gems being bought. Why will they not allow you to queue spells? That would be an easy update. Could it have something to do with the fact they want you to use big armies which require spells resulting in longer build times again slowing game progression? I am not saying that i blame them for this either. The have a great product and are exploiting that.

    Barched a couple times today and noticed I had to change the way I deployed my troops. Now that the camp's HP has decreased it takes less troops to take it down, but more are needed elsewhere like the DE pump. I also found I'm barely able to * TH9 now even with a lvl 8 BK. Say what you want about barch not being a strategy type attack. It takes skill and bldg HP knowledge to effectively win against a higher level TH.

    to be honest, i think archers itself should have a faster attack just like the archer towers to balance it out. doesnt make sense to have the tower shoot 5 times faster than the actual archer itself

    Unfortunately, that's life and this game would be long dead if they did not do things like this.

    Its the th above factor that this has ruined. Ths that are the same are a little harder but easy enough ti adapt to. After four finger drop barch is basically just how well you chose base and thats not too hard.

    I could be wrong with this but looking at the stats and comparing archers to archer towers, L13 archer towers can one hit kill any archer at twice the speed. In other words, kill 2 archers per second instead of 1.

    L12 archer towers will only make a problem for L5 archers killing them twice as fast.

    Everything else is effectively the same except archers will require 2 hits to kill instead of 1 but basically die at same rate as per pre update.

    Now I only compared L5-L7 archers.

    If this is the Case, in summary if you barch with L5 archers, avoid bases with L12+ towers. If you have L6+ archers, avoid bases with L13 towers.

    I don't barch but be good if someone could confirm with me on this.
