My troop levels say the actual number now though, not the little purple asterisks, so that's pretty neat.

Ok, figured it out.. It's a minor bug that I was able to recreate a couple times. If you log in as you are being attacked, uou then show up as your IGN in clan chat... but if you log in normally, you show up as YOU
I knew I wasn't going crazy.. that much.

one of the guys in my clan reported this today.
Its swapped backwards and forwards for him.
