I've found TH9 to be much more difficult to gain loot than I did TH8. DE is easier to come by but gold and elixir is tough. I think TH10 will be even tougher. If you think it will get easier with a TH upgrade then I think you are mistaken.

If your lab is finished for TH9 (barb 6, archer 6, loons 6, minions 5, wall breakers 5, wizards 5, giants 6, add gol witches and hounds if you war) then go ahead to upgrade.

You are prey to TH10s as it is so upgrading while still preme on defense isn't that big a deal. Don't handicap your farming (by removing TH8s as a source of income) if your offense still needs work.

TH10 give you an extra xbow, 2 infernos and an extra level of everything. What you don't upgrade at TH9, you will never upgrade at TH10.

My TH9 account is at 2300 trophies and doing 5M upgrades a few times a week. You don't need to be TH10 to farm that high. But it's true farming in master is great. But you need high level heroes and freeze spells some times. When your level 6 loon are started, make a run for master 3 and see how fun it is out there. try barch, hogs, loon. Anything that you like (since you don't like pekkas). Upgrading your barrack is not that useful, you you have to do it at one point or an other. You at least need to be able to make dragons in any barrack and not just 1-2.

I stayed 9 months in TH9 because I rushed it to get level 6 troops. You are in better shape than I, but except for the freeze spell, nothing worth going to TH10 right away

If you've been reading threads you'll realise TH10's are not finding any loot these days, except maybe above masters.
But out there, people will take more from you than you can recover from them with such puny defences. Hence.

LOOT BONUS hunting is pointless. BARCHing as TH9 isnt that great these days due to excessive nexting. So maybe loon as a TH9 for a while and raid proper storages? Or use Giant/Hog combo. Anyway, you get the point.

I went to TH10 before I finished my lego walls (had about 70 done) and I regretted it! Finish your walls, max all your defense. When you get to 10, you will have so much more to do you won't want to spend time on this stuff. Take it from me... MAX IT OUT!

Sorry but that's impossible for me. I have long school days, and the big loot time is either at school time or around midnight for me. The only time I am able to do big resource raids is on weekends or holidays. But I'll try my best

So my lab is: Barbs 6, Archers 6, Goblins 5, Giants 6, Wall Breakers 5, Balloons 5 (will start them tomorrow to level 6), Wizards 5, Healers 2 (don't need them), Dragons 2 (going to upgrade them soon), Minions 5, Hogs 3 (tomorrow they'll be level 4, will max them soon), Valks 1, Golems 1, Witches 1.
Is this enough in your opinion? I'm focused more on cheap and fast attack strategies than on attack strategies like GoWiWi or HoLoWiWi

Don't do loonion. very low efficiency unless you spend $$$$. your base is also too weak for high league.

I don't buy gems but I can boost my barracks with the gems earned from the obstacles.
I was in masters 3 some weeks ago, but failed Loot Bonus farming due to the 220 army camp spots. With 240 troops that wouldn't have happened. All of the attacks were 40-48%... My base wasn't that bad in defense.

Go to th10 if you are tired of hitting th8s and wont mind giving up on them.
Rushed or not it doesn't really matter much as long as you max your farming army and splash.

I would say try farming above C1 for a while if you are having fun there then by all means move to th10.
