No more L8 Walls with Elixir - What to do with your extra elixir

So for all of us active players that were "helped" by "economy balancing," let's show the rest of the community what we can do with extra elixir. I'm sure losing 1000-2000 DE every time your shield drops is going to make you wish we went back to barching.

Barching all day long is not how this game supposed to be played. And now SC makes it clear to everyone. What's this with TH <9 dark elixir deficiency ? It's because they did nothing but barch. Which is totally boring. As I've seen in the last 2 months.

What's the point of another dozens troop type ? So you'll use them. Otherwise you can stop progressing your barracks at level 3.

OP, this game has three parties that control the game
1) Attacker
2) Defender
3) Supercell

Attackers and defenders shout, fight, rage on the forums, higher TH's raid lower TH's etc etc. But the one watching all this while drinking Finnish beer is SC.

SC has made the changes, now we have to adapt. Revenge, raid, barch (it can still be done) but don't take it personally. That would only mean more beer for SC . Enjoy the game, changes are challenges, without change this game would be boring.

All the veterans are crying on how good we had it. Anyone who didn't get to use elixir on L8 walls had it good.

I'm part of the latter and I am sad that I can no longer dump elixir into walls unless I upgrade to TH9.

However, since Supercell is driven by profit, there's nothing we can do about it. Reintroducing a bottleneck is a great way to get players to buy more gems.

So what can we do? Start using our massive elixir storages to crush bases that we would've normally skipped. We would've normally skipped these bases because we were just constantly barching for loot.

I have never, ever used wizards during my normal loot raids. But now that I have 3m elixir that I cannot spend down, I'm going to crush into some bases. And in doing so, I will LOL at every person who said suck it up, you should've never gotten L8 walls with elixir anyways. Because I would've never raided your base and took all your DE if I had something to spend the elixir on.

Do what we all did 6+ months ago.

*Cook crazy overnight armies, Dragons, Pekka/Wizard etc.
*Donate Wizards/Dragons to clan mates to ramp up your Friend in Need stat - many clans rate this highly.
*Enjoy some freedom using spells.
*Use elixir storages to protect Gold & Dark Elixir storages. That 2,000 HP object is massive in protecting the loot you value more.

My thoughts exactly. My DE gets zapped and the two times it was touched other than zapping was from a maxed Balloonion and a very well done GoWiWi. I wish a th8 would try to get to the middle of my base lol.

You previously skipped raiding more difficult bases because you wanted to use the cheapest army imaginable, mindlessly spamming the first two troops unlocked in the game while dumping all your excess elixir into those pitifully low-level walls of yours so no one could take it from you.

So, in your mind, is dumb or noobish to be extremely efficient. In that case, could I sell you some ridiculously over priced items? If the goal is to farm 2m gold. Would you rather do it in an hour with only 200k elixir spent or would you rather do it over 2-4 hours with way more elixir spent?

Ahh, I guess it wouldn't take 2-4 hours if you boosted through all of it. . . but I don't want to assume that you would just mindlessly gem through everything, though you made a whole lot of assumptions yourself. . .

You are the poster child for the root cause of the loot problems and a perfect example of why adding the fourth mortar/doubling AT Attack speed is a good thing.

I said I didn't want to make assumptions earlier, and I won't. I'll state a fact here derived from logic; you, sir, are stupid. No where did I mention anything about a fourth mortar or about archer tower attack speed. I can state that neither update has broken the way I've attacked. Let me dumb that down for you, "I didn't qq that omg i cant get loot now brah. omg i need free lootz cuz i gots no skills."

It's not YOU they were trying to help with this part of the "economy balancing" - TH8 never had a loot problem to begin with. It is mainly TH10.

1) Upgrading Walls with Elixir is now available only when upgrading Walls to level 9 and higher.

Mid-level Wall upgrades using Elixir have become an easy and highly-available place to spend away excess Elixir, which is good for idle Villagers, but bad for active attackers.

So, as I was saying in my opening post, "active" players were being helped with this revert. See that? Wall Revert was done to help active TH8 attackers. Can't figure that out from the post above? Well sorry, I can't really force you to learn logic.

TH7-TH8's only loot problems were with DE, and that's why you got the new drills.

Hey! Something we agree upon! DE is a pain to grind for. Though one drill won't really help much, I'll take all the help I can get.

I didn't call myself a veteran. That is an assumption you(incorrectly) made.

I did not cry either. I said I am sad that I cannot dump my elixir anymore, but that was it.

I just made a suggestion for players to dump their elixir into. In addition to that suggestion, I was hoping the impact might make a couple of arrogant players rethink their "suck it up" replies.
