    TH 9 is NOT bad for those who had maxxed TH 8s. Why would you sit on a maxxed base (for TH 8) when you could get back to upgrading? TH 9 is very fun; people only get into trouble when they get there too early.

    Do you know how long it takes to max th9 without gems? And with the constant updates, even longer.

    @Scrumpydog:

    That is called playing the game. That "extra load of work" is something you should be doing for fun, as it is one of the game's objectives. It is also probably safe to assume that, being a non-gemmer, he won't achieve that objective quickly. So the issue of "finishing the game and getting bored" is not a troubling one.

    I would just take my time, and try to max out everything before moving on. I'm a new TH 7 and reading all of these posts, I think its best for me to just max out everything including walls, then move on. I feel like it would be a hassle to try to catch up on all your defenses, and you will regret it later on.

    I am a farmer.

    I have five builders.

    I always have excess resources.

    Why would I just stop playing the game?

    ...I know this is about non-gemmers but the $20 it costs to get five builders is worth it. They almost double your progression. That and the BK are the only things i have paid for...and looking back the BK can be earned quickly so its a waste of $ IMO.

    Well... Why not? Isn't that how you get ahead in the game after you have maxed everything out? You don't need gems to play this game.
