Town Hall 8 Lab upgrades

I've been at th 8 about a week currently I'm upgrading barbs my thought was to do archers next followed by wizards then drags any thoughts?

Yep. Do your farming army first. I think I did archers (to donate) followed by barbs, wall breakers. Giants right after.

I always start with archers (for donating/farming/luring CC/all around awesome), barbs/minions (farming/cheap), then I go wizards (dps), giants (tank for wizards), wall breakers (useful if short-lived), drags (dps/tank), healer (can't recall if they have an upgrade... I'm going to TH 9 (i.e. might've done this in TH 7)) in troops. (For starters) Don't really worry about PEKKA upgrades yet (you got plenty of time in TH 8), but make sure you unlock your Golems! Also, make sure you upgrade that Barb King!

Spells: MAX RAGE! Oh, then heal... then lightning... but MAX RAGE!

well just do them one a time. it was pretty long upgrades.
what i did was archers, dragon, barbs, rage, heal, wb, wiz.. then you must choose want would be your main strategy for the next th.. some th8 max their hogs, some use pekka, some use upped their minions. but before the lvl12 collectors, build time is shorter than lab time in th8

So let me get this straight, at TH8 being there for 1 week you are advocating that OP should forgo one of the most consistent clan war attacks available at his present level. And to instead spend his 50K DE and 22 days on hogs instead of upgrading the BK, or using a clan war strat that isn't all that viable in TH8 if the AD's are buried, just because of something that happens 147 days later assuming OP can farm and build fast enough.

you are right that drags are useless in th9, but you will still stay for a long time in th8, unless you are a great farmer getting hogs to lvl4 will be hard.
and drags can 3 star any max th8 base.

Why bother investing your time into something you wont be use in future? Its always better to practise earlier with hogs and loons cause it will take time to master it. Level 3 hogs already good enough for early to mid th8.

You know, i always barched from th7-th8 and when i try to use giant i pretty much screwed up everytime cause lack of practise.

Did we actually help you?.. Also, you might consider adding a poll to this thread. I'd make it a multi-choice poll and ask everyone to choose their favorite spell, regular troop, and dark troop for initial upgrades. That should get you started, and the general spread of poll results should give you a guide to your next priorities.
