The point isn't that you can't raid effectively at TH8, but that TH7 is better. While you have stronger troops at TH8, TH7 do just fine with level 4 troops as they only have TH6 defenses to worry about - and TH6 bases are very, very easy to break through.

It's not so much about TH7 finding bigger raids than TH8, but that they have access to a lot of smaller, but very easy raids. In the span of time that it takes you to take down one 200k/200k base and retrain your troops, a TH7 would've taken down 3-4 100k/100k bases.

So as you say, the most efficient method of farming is lazy farming on collectors, assuming we are lucky to find such bases 50% of the time.

At TH7, fighting TH6 will give you 10% loot penalty, fighting TH7 will give u 0% loot penalty
At TH8, fighting TH6 will give you 50% loot penalty, fighting TH7 will give you 10% loot penalty.

And if you are a lazy farmer, you should know yourself that such bases are quite frequent for th6/th7 as well.

You say you get 60k gold with 30 goblins ? Assuming those are th6,
If you are th7, you will get (60*2)*0.9= 108k gold with 30 goblins.
48k diff per raid, big diff now ?

I didn't say TH8 raids are always with full armies. I'm TH8 myself, and I was a max TH7. While I see bases with full collectors for easy picking at TH8, it's a regular occurrence at TH7. Unless you've experience TH7, you really wouldn't understand.

LOL you've been playing since January and thats as far as you've gotten? I to only spent gems on 4th/5th builder and yet im only about 2 weeks behind you in terms of upgrades. I started this game in mid march. You should have farmed alot more at TH 7.

You know who is this kid? It is me. I rushed to th8 with and under leveled TH6 defenses. Look what I ended up with @ th8:

Just needs some hard work. I agree, having better troops help, but most importantly, you need to believe that you can do it.

Nah jk, most premature th will just cry and quit, whereas there are exceptional players like yourself that seek help and manage to return to the correct path.

But yeah, Lv50 TH8 till now.. your TH8 journey sure gets long and boring and super repetitive with nothing new lol.

Almost maxed out TH8 here. When I was TH7 I was farming 1.2-1.3 millions gold/hour. At TH8, the best I can do is 700-900K gold/hour. The difference is quite big after 1 month of farming 8 hours a day.

The longer you stay TH7 the better it is.
