Is It Possible to Revenge Champions?

I know many responses are going to say "NO!" immediately, but hear me out.

I have seen a few revenges lately, against myself and others, in high Champion League.

Was something changed? Or is this just luck? We all remember when some adjustments were made to prevent "cheap shielding," where bases would be put in the search que long before they would be available for revenge.

But is this still the case?

One of my recent videos was on this topic, I showcase a revenge VS me, I was at 3700 trophies.




Also, in a recent Galadon video, he was explaining about the new "Live defense replay" feature. The defense he was showing was a revenge as well. He was moderately high in champions as well, 3600 I believe.

The fact is, whenever I log off at 3700 trophies I am instantly attacked, by someone searching normally. I doubt anyone skips me at this trophy level. I'm very surprised that an attacker was able to pull off this revenge before someone found me in search. Maybe the revenge buffer is gone? Or maybe not.

What do you all think? CONSPIRACY or LUCK?! You decide.

It is as with any trophy range possible but it is very rare. I actually was offline 10-30 minutes a few times at 3500+ without being raided which means I was open for revenge(didn't happen though). It just depends who is seeing you. If it's a bunch of people who see you for 1 and you're maxed you may actually get revenged because they may skip you a few times.

It mostly happens right after maintenance when people have been kicked off. I did see a 3700+ that I was able to revenge though.

I'm not quite at 3700, but I have noticed people nexting me (I log in, see "base under attack, 3 min 20 sec remaining" and then it disappears and I'm logged in without being attacked). I frankly don't have a very good layout (though it might be a bit confusing?), so if your layout is good/puzzling, I could see you getting nexted enough that a revenger could find you, though I doubt it would happen very often.

I've never seen someone skip me as you described, but of course its possible. I don't always log RIGHT back in. Plus, my base is almost a maxed TH10 so It may not be worth it for everyone.

My main question here is, how much WORK would it take to catch me offline? Is it safe to assume this was just random luck on the avengers part? Or did he somehow calculate my shield time, did he have inside info!?

Revenge is a very interesting part of Clash. I rarely bother with it, but some put LOTS of effort into it. I believe emotions come into play quite often with revenge attacks!

Plus, you can get some HUGE trophies too. SO I see why people do it.

Yes, it's possible. It's unlikely though because the player has only a small time frame to find you offline unshielded up there before anyone else, that's all. They changed a few things with the way revenge works in champ league also because players were abusing it. There used to be a small period of time where you went offline and someone hitting revenge was able to find you before your base actually entered the matchmaking. I live above 3700 these days and i've never bothered trying to revenge anyone. Waste of time... I often see people skip my base once I return to the game if I have both Heroes active though and have sat here for over 20 minutes offline without getting attacked. I've been floating here with town hall out now though with 90% of attacks 1 cup snipes from guys above 4k and the occasional guy that goes full ♥♥♥♥♥♥ once my gold builds up and still gets one star.

At OP though, maybe they stalked you a little looking for regular patterns, then just gave it a go one time and got lucky.

My second trip mid-champ i didnt know bout revenge lag, and, sitting on the beach one day, indulged in button spamming. 2 names in log next to each other, that got the feeling had been on quite a while.
Found out (by nature of message going instantly: online-attacked-shielded), that they both finished sessions at pretty much same time everyday. Which makes sense being as peoples daily lives tend to be similar, and max length stints are order of the day.

Maybe they just had a pop when chances are, you were finishing stint of the day, and couple people skipped you.

I did it once when I was in Champ but it was the minute after an update maintenance so probably doesn't count.
