The people who currently have lv11 collectors have been playing a while. We know that there's possibly going to be a 1 gem boost coming around Christmas. We're unlikely to upgrade our collectors until we know if/when/what kind of boost will happen. So a lot of people won't start the lv12 upgrades for a few weeks.

It will take a few weeks, probably around a month or more depending on available workers to upgrade all the collectors. If anything loot will be adversely affected during this time.

The people that upgrade their collectors as soon as they can are also the same people that will empty those collectors several times a day. It's just unreasonable to think that in January we'll start seeing abandoned bases with full lv12 collectors.

The new collectors will help the economy. It's just going to take some time.
Thats exactly what i was thinking when i started the post, ha I have a tough time putting my thoughts into words sometimes so i appreciate the help 😆.

This type of economy balancing will not work.
Yes, more elixir will be available (unless people decide to push or mess around with excess elixir, I know I will...100 WB armies plus hero/healers here I come ) but there will be a massive shortage on gold. It's a trade off.
A side note. Has anyone noticed the complete lack of minerals available right now? Just like in IRL when SC announced the whole wall thing it created a huge demand for elixir and gold (to push walls as far as possible before patch) and sort of created the gamers equivalent to a "run" on a bank.
    Why the pessimism

And IF you upgrade your collectors youŽll be getting at least an extra 5,040,000 resources per month.
    from your own collectors
    14*500= 7,000* 24hrs= 168,000 * 30days= 5,040,000

Just to make a point imagine weŽve had this for the last year and that would be near 60M, in my case, thats an extra 60 lvl 9 walls from doing nothing but upgrading my own.

So chill people this is at least a 16% improvement to the whole economy regarding collectors. (The other thing being bonuses).
Ha i appreciate the comment, wasn't trying to be pessimistic, i love they are adding lvl 12s. Just was thinking outloud about how it will probably negatively affect things for the first few weeks and may take even longer before it positively affects loot!
Fact remains: Thank you SC for not being greedy and listening to your players!(:

or at least once they're upgraded...

Maybe not from looting others, but my own economy will be greatly improved. Every time wake up there will be a lot more resources waiting for me, every afternoon when i finish work there will also be a lot more resources waiting for me

@OP I honestly doubt we will see a change anyway too, even if it does happen it will be so extremely gradual that we wont notice it, the question though is, how aversely will it effect the economy. Many people upgrading collectors will hurt it, but will it actually be a big enough of a deal for us to notice?
    server obviously
the inactives may have deleted their game

Well the inactive players will remain inactive, so it will take some time to start seeing inactive lvl 12 collectors (maybe at least one month). To be true, they are my favourite building though.

Probably even longer than a month! Ha im excited to start seeing those. I can only imagine how much an all lvl 12 collector inactive base will offer, probably 300k each at least

Like many I believe it will take month, minimum before it gets better.

And it in fact will likely get even worse than it is now before it gets better as many pumps will be under construction generating much less loot into the game for a while.

Definitely something everyone should keep in mind! A lot of people jumped the gun thinking loot will instantly be incredible post-update, i predict a lot of complaining threads these next few weeks; then again there are always a lot of complaining threads!

I hope the increase isn't just 500 per hour as many are predicting. I hope it's 1000 per hour and the rate goes from 3000 up to 4000.

For a TH10 a player that increases their gold mines from level 11 to level 12 will generate an extra 588,000 gold per week. If the increase is 1000 per hour, that would generate an extra 1,176,000 gold per week. That would be more significant.

So few players realize the importance of collectors. If everyone maxed their collectors, there wouldn't be as much of a loot shortage in the game.

But to answer the question, i think it will take a couple of months to notice the difference.
