Man, it's crazy. I feel like whoever is driving these updates is just a step or two in front of me.
The "hero & hog nerf" update came out in the middle of my upgrade to TH7, so I never got to experience the so-called OP of those troops.
The "elixir for walls" came out just as I was moving to TH 8. With a whole new level of troop upgrades at a min of 1.5mil, and most at 2.25+, I've never once sat there and decided that I wanted to spend 500k, or even 200k of my precious elixir on walls.
Now that I've got most of my troops maxed for TH8, they move the wall upgrades to level 9 or higher. Granted, I'm still not at a place where I'd rather dump my elixir into walls - we seem to be in constant war, and I still have 1 or 2 barracks that aren't maxed,
I'm probably a week or so (maybe 3) away from getting to the point that I have nothing to spend my elixir on. And most of my walls are level 7, so again I'll miss out on the chance to use either resource for walls.
I finally got my lowest account to TH8, and now they introduce the drill for TH7. That was the one account that I didn't spend a penny and actually farmed all the DE for my King....and because of that, I didn't get it until I made it to TH8.
I'm still a few weeks away from moving to TH9 with my highest account, and was looking forward to getting max giants and really farming for DE.....now they introduce level 7 giants, which will mean by the time I'm at TH9, all the TH10 guys will have lvl7 giants and come down to crush me......so much for ever being able to save up enough DE to up my troops.
It's kind of like in high school. The year AFTER I got my license the school system scrapped the 10+ year old cars and got brand new ones! The year AFTER I graduated the school system put air conditioning units in all the classrooms. Same with college....the year AFTER I moved off campus the school put in high speed internet. The year AFTER I graduated the school started making classes available online!
I'm really not complaining.....just feel like I'm always missing out. If only I had started playing a month (or 2) earlier!
