Am i ready for TH9?

Nope not ready at all. First of all get that king to lvl 10 and focus some more time on walls. Max everything out before upping TH

As a lot of people have said, you should max as much as you can.

I upgraded to TH9 about two weeks ago, and I was maxed except for walls and a few teslas that were just lvl 5.

I had barched and gotten like 70 walls done while the TH was upgrading, and thus far it hasn't been that detrimental.

I was in the mid-80's in experience level before I upgraded to TH9. I had maxed all defensive buildings except teslas and had at least lvl6 (light purple) walls, with a core of lvl7... And I still regret having upgraded too early. I wish I had taken the time to max out walls first, even though that is incredibly boring. Now I am lvl111 on TH9, having upgraded every building and defense and everything in the lab with only walls and heroes I can upgrade. I still have 110 lvl8 walls to go (so not allowing elixir for those is going to suck because it's the only thing I can spend it on for the last 4 months). And still I am not in a hurry to upgrade to TH10. Loot is progressive worst at higher TH's. You may know that in the abstract but experiencing it is something else. TH8 was fun. TH9 is mostly boring. Sure you get a larger and more powerful army and the Archer Queen, but then you are having to "Next" forever to find a base worth raiding. I have gone 150 matches to find one base with over 100K gold at 1900 trophies -- and played around with 1400 to 2400 without better success. I may get lucky sometimes and find good loot quickly. Then the next time I "next" for 15 minutes before finding a base, having wasted 100K gold in the process.

Hold out as long as you can short of quitting. If you feel like quitting, sure why not enjoy the short term thrill of new things to upgrade.

Ok so as you might know I rushed my town hall to 8. I have had Town hall 8 for about 4-5 months recovering w/ gems and farming. I have really well upgraded my base, and i got maxed splash defenses. I have about 3 level 10 cannons, (still working on all to 10) and archer towers level 9. My troops are max (that i use) dragons level 3, barch level 5, giants level 5. Here is a pic of my base.

If you need to ask if you are ready, 99% chance you are not.

Ok, so I know it's a pain, but you've got to upgrade those walls. Trust me, it seems pretty hard to get them all to level 7, but it's even harder when you're town hall 9. Also, get your teslas to at least level 3, they help against barch attacks.
