On a serious note: please don't put words into my keyboard which I did not write. I am not implying anything right there.

Someone posted SC does the Christmas boost every year. I simply replied that was not true.
The game was released in 2012. So Christmas 2012 was the first Christmas ever this game existed during which we had no 1-gem boost.
Christmas 2013 was the second Christmas the game existed and we had our very first holiday boost (note this wasn't the first 1-gem boost ever, but the 1st during Christmas time).
Christmas 2014 hasn't happened yet.
In conclusion: one simply cannot draw the conclusion "they do this every year" when so far 1 out of 2 had it. There is no way a pattern can have been established with that.

Just stating facts, nothing misleading about it and bot implying anything.

Using the fact that there were no 1-gem boosts in a year where boosting did not exist until the Christmas update is rather ridiculous. Can you imagine the outrage if they had introduced boosts into the game, made them 1 gem only for the Christmas season, and then changed them to 20 or 40 or whatever they used to be?

The conclusion I've drawn is that the Christmas update is a time of boosting, since in 2012 they introduced boosts and in 2013 had the holiday 1-gem boosts. Following that conclusion, there are two possibilities: either they will introduce more boosts (didn't mean to put words into your mouth, sorry if it seemed that way) or they will make the current boosts cheaper. Thus, it is reasonable to expect cheaper boosts, likely 1-gem since Supercell seems to like that number.

So maybe heroes/barracks/spells will get boosted instead.

Its not my opinion...... It's the definition of the word pattern. It has to be repeated to be a pattern, otherwise it's an occurrence.. Now, if you were to say, the fact that they did it last year increases the chances that they are starting a new trend, we can agree and once you post a cat pic we can get back on topic.
