Master League as TH7: congrats to all those who made it!

Hi guys,

last week I finished working on my TH7 base which I had completely maxed out (Barb King and dark elixir troop upgrades included) so I thought: why not to try to push to master league before upgrading to TH8? And that's what I've done, or at least tried...

When I started pushing I was already in gold one, so getting to crystal three wasn't a big deal. Even crystal two wasn't so tough as I thought. My army composition was some archers and barbs, in case I could have found a th to snipe, and some dragoons as backup or trying to get 2 stars on weaker bases, sometimes even 3 stars... After three days pushing I made it to crystal one, and thought: oh well, I can definitely make it!

But here something changed: bases, which had the th exposed, became pretty rare, and even those I could 2-star vanished. The most I could find there were TH10 bases, with inferno towers and x-bows, and just a few but very well upgraded TH9. I did manage to break the 2500 trophies count but couldn't go much further (personal record set to 2504): every time I logged out I was 3-starred and the loss of trophies was unbelievable high: yes, once even -59! At that point I decided to give up and move to TH8, ending my journey at 94 trophies from my target.

Since I personally tried this adventure and tested how difficult it is, I would really like to congratulate with all those who accomplish this feat. I know some people have reached even higher trophy counts and even someone who hasn't been TH7 yet made it!

So congrats guys, very well done!

I'm currently pushing to Master's as a mid-TH9, and I'm noticing the same thing. Once I hit Crystal 1, the TH8s nearly all disappeared, and I find myself pressing next time after time looking for an Inferno-free base. My loons don't like those nasty multi-target Infernos But I will not be deterred!!!

Been in crystal for a while, maybe it's me but I rarely see an exposed TH. Maybe one a day, and often trapped.

There's actually a lvl 34 in TH5 and in Champions League.

I made it to master as a mature TH 7 (~11 months ago), and then once again as a new TH 8 (~10 ago). Both times I did it with TH-sniping using barch. Nowadays I'm farming in crystal as a TH 9 and I see it'd have been much, much harder to do it if I were a TH 7 now. Earlier it was mostly trophy pushers that were sniping TH's, now with the league bonus improvements most of the farmers do it as well. That said, respect to all TH 7's that have reached master recently!

When I was at TH 7 I made it to ~2540-2550 trophies. My tactics were simple -- mostly I wiped bases where TH was outside and time to time attacked some weaker bases just to get star or two.

However when you reach about 2450 trophies it becomes almost impossible to find a base with TH outside. Once I pressed the Next button for like 400 times spending nearly 150 000 gold but still did not find appropriate base.

Also in Crystal league I most of the bases with TH outside are set up the way to lure an attacker into a trap. If the TH is outside then it was like 90-95% chance it was surrounded with 3-4 advanced level Teslas that wiped entire army in seconds. Even though I was very careful, I fell for the traps few times (and each time it costs you 25-40 trophies).

As an end note, I don't think it's possible to get to Masters with TH 7. Maybe it was possible few years ago when players were not so advanced but now it's impossible
