Chance to harvest opponents' obstacles if you 100% their base.

I think this would add an interesting aspect to the whole "farming" part of the game. Several conditions would have to be met:
    - You must achieve 100% destruction.
    - You must have a builder available.
    - You can only harvest a relatively small amount of obstacles (time based perhaps?)
    - Disable the feature if you're attacking too far below your level (1 or 2 town halls below, speculative) to avoid abuse

It could make regular attacks/defenses more exciting if a small number of potential gems was at stake and would encourage players to build more expansive armies to ensure 100% on a base instead of simply sniping town halls or farming collectors/mines.

    Discuss.

    no.
this is not a good idea.
i have 5 builders and i try to keep em all busy.
right now i am only TH8, but there are some upgrades that take a 5+ days.
imagine a TH10 with 5 builders busy on upgrades that take 2 weeks.

why should you be able to come to my base and steal my vegetation just because my builders are busy?

    no. bad idea.
    horrible idea, actually.

Sorry I should have been clearer about the available builder part. The attacker must have a builder available to harvest the defender's vegetation. The defender's builders have no effect on this.

Why are you so opposed to having your vegetation taken from you if the person attacking is obviously putting effort into it? You'd be allowed to do just the same to them in a revenge attack, or to anyone else for that matter if you're so inclined.

It's my base and my vegetation. I don't want anyone messing with it. I have several holiday decorations and would be quite upset if someone else harvested them. Others like to have a decorative ring of trees.

Also do you really think SC is going to allow gem farming? Think really hard about that one.

the only way this should be allowed is if both, attacker and defender, have a builder available.
because, if i am defending and do not have a builder available, i cannot harvest. why should you take it?
but, if i do have builders available, i can kind of see how this might be a good idea.

    however.

you have that backwards, i dont want to take anyone's vegetation because i dont want them taking mine.
its not like resources where i can just raid and raid. vegetation grows sporadically. you never really know when it will grow or where.

i just personally do not like the idea of somone coming to my village and taking my vegetation. i may want it there for aesthetic reasons. so hands off.

this comes down to gems. resources are one thing, but i just dont see supercell implementing anything having to do with stealing or harvesting other peoples gems.

No. Many of us, myself included, intentionally grow our trees, bushes, etc. in a specific pattern.

Many of us have limited-time obstacles, such as Christmas trees, that we have kept, to proudly display on our bases.

Super Cell does not want to create 'gem farmers', who harvest other people's gems, but never buy them!

If you want to harvest your opponent's game pieces, play checkers or chess.

I posted before reading. I've been amused, a few times, to see that we have posted nearly the exact same thing!

Ok just make the holiday-themed ones off limits. Are people really this attached to their bushes and tree trunks? Also I don't think it would allow for such monumental "gem farming" if the conditions involved are difficult enough to meet. I just think it would make raiding a bit more interesting if there were a possibility of gems at stake. It's not like there would be more overall gems added to the game's economy, just more flow between players.

Edit: it appears you guys are assuming I haven't been playing very long due to my account status. I am town hall 8, I have time-limited obstacles in my base. I've spent money on gems. A way of acquiring gems based on attack proficiency seems appealing to me.

Yes people are attached to their bushes and tree trunks.

The loss of premium currency should never be a possibility.

it isnt really the point how attached we are. the point is that you will have some high level players with available builders drop trophies to harvest lower level player vegetation to get free gems.

the question is not "are we attached to our vegetation"?

the question is, why do you have any right to them?
