What loot?
Skipping TH9 seems like a bad idea to me. I wouldn't recommend it. Why not test the TH9 loot first and see if that drop is tolerable first? But good luck getting those pekkas if you do it anyway.
TH 10 loot?

Do not jump / skip a TH. This is a mistake, you'll wish you listened to me when I told you to max out all your TH's before upgrading to the next one. Max pekkas are tempting to jump a TH for but I wouldn't do it. Myself did go to TH 10 as a premature TH 9. (Worst Mistake Ever) I wish I could go back a TH now that it is so hard to farm as a TH 10 compared to a TH 9.

I would advice against that. You will have pekka5 but it will take you over a year probably just to get your th10 base to th9 standards.
Also raiding at th9 is very easy, you can flatten th8s w no effort and you will be getting easy loot all the time.
Th10 loot is plentiful too, just that you cant crush th8s anymore, need to attack th9s and th10s mostly which are not as easy (still barchable though).
Anyways go to th9 and do at least all legos and lv20 heroes is my advice.
It's not like loot get massive drop, but more like terminally annihilated. If you like raiding, th 9 offer the best and last resort for your CoC enjoyment. Th 10 is more like for those who already have no use for their life/money/purpose (combine one,two or all that options).
